Hi billec, I mostly use the charts provided by Sharejunction here. Sometimes, I use Poems charts too. Both are free of charge and no need to subscribe. |

Patience is required in this type of counter, esp when it is now hibernating. |

Possibly. I see the downtrend getting weaker in the past month. It may be a slight downtrend or stagnation in Janurary. |

need the volume for this counter to pick up before the trends would be clearer. but the way i read it is that this counter is consolidating rather than downtrending |

actually, i didn't buy any of the mother share, i am heavily vested in the warrant SPC DB eCW070305. bought some at 6.5cents, 5.5cents and 5cents. Total about 10K plus. No more dough to buy in at 4.5cents |

yup yup. i agree. basically, if i have summarise correctly, volume is a critical indicator in TA, but a stock with low volume is not necessarily bad. it may be good using FA cheers, singaporegal |

Hi giantlow and iPunter, Stocks come in many shapes and sizes... eg.. penny stocks with small/large volumes OR large cap with low/high volumes. The only reason I do not monitor low volume stocks is that I find that my style of TA isn't accurate for those counters. You can call me inflexible but I have learned this lesson the hard way - by losing money! :) However, I would also like to add that it doesn't mean that low volume stocks are not good investments for the long term. |

i have to disagree with u on that iPunter. Penny stocks dun always have high volume (stamford tyres, seksun), large cap also doesn't mean low volume (eg property and banking counters) i agree with singaporegal, that both price and volume should be read together to form an accurate picture. but increase in volume would mean pple are more interested/disinterested in the stock, price movement may follow shortly |

Incidentally, volume is also directly linked to the price of a stock.... ie. everything else being equal, penny stocks always seem to have high volume and vice versa... |

By the way, we can choose to be purely 'purist' or hybrid, or simply practical. It is all up to us, really.. hehe... :) |

giantlow... 200 lots traded a day is out of the question... forget it that counter... Go for those 'low' volume counters which do about 500-1000 lots, especially during the low volume days. I am sure you can do a bit of 'high speed' scalping... :) |
