It is a smart move to achieve many corporate objectives - aggressive biz growth now that Eratat is ready, share buy-back due to depressed share price, payout for div, and secure a strategic shareholder (which it doesn't have at the moment) when Sun Hung Kai converts warrant to share. Must better than share placement to Sun Hung Kai since Mgt must be thinking the share price is too depressed. The best way is therefore use bond for share buy-back and when price moves up, sell the treasury shares to Sun Hung Kai at a much higher price (thru warrant conversion). Let's see what is the interest rate set for the bond and the conversion price for the warrant.

NOt enough info yet .. may still be good ..anyway it has been stuck at this range for the longest time .. Cant think of anything bad anyway ..but agree with all is that why need more cash ? already got plenty and no dividend and no buy back. FISHY |

hmm. same thoughts here. any bro care to enlighten? 1. The end effect of warrant is that it will cause share dilution if warrant is exercised. Thus will the company depress share price so that the warrant will not be exercised? 2. Is this a subscription or placement? I understand share placement is initiated by the company itself. While share subscription is initiated by the external party. Not sure if it is applicable to bonds and warrants.

the operating result is so-so, not good also not bad. just a little improvement. big plus is receivables decreased very significantly and seems like no more surprised reno subsidy and sales rebate. anyone know when and where is eratat briefing investors for yesterday's result? for the market to believe that Eratat have 22cents/share in cash (total cash SGD105M, more than market cap), eratat could declare dividend or start share agrressive buy-back. Just take out SGD 5-10 million can buy back almost 7-15% of outstanding share. then market will believe I am long...... |
