I'm sure the Coy is run by very good people and their main target are the very rich people who want a complete package in relaxation in an exotic environment totally away from the hectic business world. Note : There're more and more Millionaires nowaday especially in Asia. So, this business makes sense. Cheers! |

Price is up. Thailand fears are overblown. It is expanding into India, Ireland, Australia and China. Projects in Morocco, Mexico and Greece are also in the works. The expansion drive beyond Asia Pacific is to turn the company into a global niche player. Banyan has signed up for 3 new resorts in India and 4 independent new spas. It has a 15% equity stake in one of the new resorts, and signed management contracts to manage 4 new spas in Ireland, China, India and Australia. It has 24 hotels and 36 spas in the works, all of which will be operational within the next 3 years. |

Yup one more thing to know is Mr Oei is a very happy man liao why so???.. remember when ipo at that point in times, ST paper is full of report, he is collecting ton of $$$ rite, so U know i know and everone knows, so what yours take??. Just look at d px now & U will know. |

It caused a ripple effect ppl is scare off to invest at this points in times. Tot vol has increase, but px has come down, investment in India though is a good thing, it will take to spend more $$$ 1st and over long term, anything can happen, so selling the idea to prop up the px in near term don really fix in with investment short term ideally. Better ask those fund mgr which of their better stocks to believe in, i am sure there are many better stocks around for then to park their money. |

Due to..unstable Southern Thailand, more bomb for visiting banks to scare off ppl, no more px stabilization, do U read ST paper!!!. They r into Resort & spa business. It take even a longer term to recover liao. |

Opp sorry about the wrong posting Banyan tree result should read 1st half profit is $15.4 mil a sharp turn around from last year loss of 12 mil. in the same period a year ago. |

Banyan tree result is out, it lost 2.7 mil compar to last year of 6.0 mil, going forward it promisinhg of better thing to come with three new contract in India. +0.005 cents to $0.925 on 106 lots traded. |
