I am not worried about the subsidies part. I am only concerned that if you travel across Johor for shopping and happen to run out of petrol then can't even buy at non subsidies price? How to come home like that? And also it was theirs just as Singapore was theirs until the handover because that Johor's faithful letter to us. It wasn't even under our sea territory. If you follow the verdict closely. All other claims was rejected except the letter. They will feel the pain of the lost because of their own mistake. But they have to do something to flex their muscles. |

No issue loh. Your 3/4 tank full of petrol can last to and flo Kulai alrdy. Unless you coming back fr North, then remember to top up your tank before entering Kulai and further south loh. Still got loop holes lah: 1. Siphon out fr your Msia fr or relative car loh, n pay them accordingly. 1 qtr tank costs around RM 20.00. But not worth that effort. 2. New trade created for car washing depot, they sell petrol in container, with discount, specially for spore cars going there for washing. But you may not distinguish its Octane 92 or 98. For contingency leow loh. Generally, still not a problem for those who can affort to go to JB for funs and shopping. Less business for the petrol kiosks withing the radii and shops and stalls within the vicinity of the kiosks, esp those stop over area at high way. The stop over place at 2nd Link kena telok telok leow. Two petrol kiosks to wait for Msia cars. |

'taking their land'? Then you concede that it was rightfully theirs... ? Sorry, I disagree... It was and it is Singapore's.
Also, the 50km radius does not apply only south of Malaysia... it also applies north of Malaysia too... Petrol in South Thailand is 2x price in Malaysia (after converting to RM). So, please... don't be so sensitive lah... it is not necessarily due to the verdict at ICJ. There's really no reason why a govt should to keep subsidising citizen's of other nations.
Agree with Nicky that we should not be so cheapo.... considering our GDP per capita is so much higher than our neighbours.

Now with their internal problem politically, better not mention anything about selling middle rocks.......national pride for their citizens. Let's be more sensitive. S'pore has got many good makan places too. Spend your money here and let our economy flourish. |

Aiya..who cares about these rules that they set. Just give $10 to the pump attendant and they will be more than delighted to pump for you. Or maybe more illegal pump station will appear near the rural areas for S'porean to pump petrol.

Exactly what I mean. They can raise their price and subsidies only their own people. But to stop us from buying completely is....suspicious...

this 50km radius restriction at Johor will steer Singaporeans away and thus impacting their Johor state economy...u will think twice before going there for makan now...because many motorist go there not only to spend..but of cos to pump petrol as an incentive... hmmm..if they were to sell us their Middle Rock...jialat*..their citizens will be furious..especially those fishermen...can imagine their reaction man` |

The locals will use their Johore-registered vehicle to buy petrol, then retail to S'pore-registered cars at higher prices than they had bot at to pocket some profit. Possible? | ||||
