Manikamaniko, Goldtron was a good shares in 1996, the shares price was more than $1. Now its price is way below than the perceive value of 20 cents. Last May 06, when the news that it would be taken over was released, the newspaper news claimed that it would go to 20 cents if another company take over Goldtron. Goldtron has a lot of potential. Who can wait, who will win....the profit is good. |

czerny, but the profit would be good if the right issue is out. The sold price for right issue is 0.15 cents per share only... it is a very good profit as the shares price is very low now. The perceived value of Goltron is much higher as compared to the market valuation right now. I think can simply make 50% profit. Must be patience.... must ton..... |

If you look at Teledata the rights came out very fast. I think something is wrong that's why price is stuck. Think better to unload and switch to better counters! Why wait on a doggie!! |

The wait for the Right issue seems to be quite long.... The shares price is fluctuating at 0.35 cents...seems like it is not moving at all... Green8, got any comment on the right issue? |

A listed shell company is believed to be worth only $8m to $15m. At 3.5c, Goldtron is worth $92m! This makes it very expensive. |

No single shareholder owns more than 3%. Assuming each of the 30 creditors own 3% each, then they'll own a total of 90%. It's in their interest that the price goes up. |

Founder and executive director Ong Soon Kiat owns about $2 m or less than 3% of the company. A whopping 96.074% is owned by Joe Public, as of Sep 05. Because Ong owns so little of the company, it's a very attractive takeover target. It has seen heavy volumes. Market watches believe that activity was fuelled by speculation that it could 20c, an 8-fold increase. If Xpress could rise 7 to 8 folds, maybe Goldtron can too. But buyers beware! It hit an all-time high of $2.65 in 1994. By 1999, it owed 30 creditors $300 m. To solve the problem it effected a debt-to-equity swap. New shares were issued. There's now 2.6 billion shares. Ong used to own 18.9%, had his shares force-sold when financial woes struck. The issuance of new shares further diluted his stake. As of 31/12/05, it's still in a net asset position, of a mere 0.75% per share. It's profitable, although its bottomline for half year to 31/12 fell 24% to $1.37 m. It's generating cash from its operations and subsidiary Radiance. Datuk Mokhzani Mahatir, the former PM's son, is a non-executive chairman. For those who believe it's a turnaround story and is a prime takeover target, this may be a good buy. But I repeat that BUYERS BEWARE! And don't expect it to return to $2.65! |
