Healthy volumes on this one... but looks to be on downtrend now. I guess its in sync with the auditor concerns. |

Hi, shaguar, I have not done any research on such announcements made before. Hence, my answer to your question is that I do not know. What I said in my posting is that I do think the announcement is seen as more negative than positive. Why should the company hold back the announcement of full-year results when they are unable to resolve something positive with the auditor? |

Without knowing what constitute "significant outstanding matters" which the company cannot resolve with their auditors after exhausting practicable efforts, one can only speculate that it must be something negative and may have an impact on the financial treament of the comapny's affairs. I thinks market's negative reaction is to be expected. I would not be surprised that some may even tried to short the counter in the morning. Just my take. |

Whats wrong with this counter today? All it did was to ask for an extension of time to file it's financial statements and now it's dipping. Can anyone pls enlighten? |

This counter...at best, its very very speculative. Used to be called i ONE.net and was the darling during the dot com heydays under KK Foong.....until it went under in a mountain of debts. The inside story of how and why an ordinary printing company could go public and rise so high that at it peak, its market cap was comparable to Singtel......is cannot be published. When the company went under, KK Foong abandoned it and ran to China on sabbatical. The judicial managers appointed Lim Cheng Tong as CEO to nurse the company back to health. In the process of restructuring the comapny, it was renamed xpress. Whilst not an exciting company, xpress was regaining its financial health. Then, I think was 2005, KK Foong made a comeback, ousted Lim CT and looks like its deja vu for xpress again. Personally, I will not touch this counter with a 10 ft pole.....it best left to people who likes high risks, high returns type of stocks......cos, as history has proven, KK Foong can make such violent swings with the stock price that even the best TA chartists may not be able to catch it on time. Then again, perhaps I am too conservative...... |

Just check the SGX posting. In a statement just released, Xpress has applied to SGX for extension of time for releasing its results. The reason: They have not been able to resolve some significant matters relating to PMG which they acquired in July 06 as well as audit of Xpress Print Pte Ltd and Xpress, with their external auditors Deloitte and Touche notwithstanding that draft financial statement had been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standard. |

I think it is for release of full-year results. It announced its full-year results last year on 9 Sep 05 and latest half-year results on 15 Mar. So, full-year results are due. In Mar 06, it too suspended trading before announcing results. |

Look like they R going to be rich liao d 2nd time with 21.5mil in their bag at 22cts (placement shares) The 1st time IPO at .38cts going for $1.38cts on day one. Dot.com time. Now just wonderinggg... after successful placement what will be d new price, north is very likely, maybe it hit 38cts again b4 i dream it px going $1.38 again. Hope this XXX they make alot more yahhh... |
