Assuming the announcement is fundamentally positive,. those who bought it just before it was halted would be able to reap a small harvest,unless they were contra players. The short sellers will be badly scalded - so the price is likely to rise when trading.on SC is lifted. |

heard that it will open on 22/1....presently there are large buy q @0.40-0.50....wondering what is the fair price to buy! any comments!! by the way, i have q buy @0.48..hope it is not too high. |

It seems announcement will not be released today. Wonder whether it's that beneficial to SC price for it to rallied all the way up to US0.385cents before being halted? |

Hulumas Guess u r also vested in SC. Have you executed your plan of buying up LMA shares at low prices ? LMA's volume has been shockingly low and the price has closed at .635 for the past few days. |

Hi teeth53 To stabilise the price once trading on SC resumes, I believe SGX or at least the respective brokers should make an exception by allowing the contra buyers or short sellers to take the appropriate action over a few days. If that is not done, a few would have to be declared bankrupts. Itis hoped that the price-sensitve announcement ( according to its request to halt trading) would allow SC to break out of its range bound trading for the past few years. |

Hi hikitty, Seem something not rite in this counter, nomally it don take so long, also when some big news is announced in ST paper, it may mean "habess" liao, in english word "finish" then again agreement may not be finalize yet when news fly hoping to be who is the newspaper man to come out with it news 1st, (making Stanly Ho-casino king mad i think). now oni those wgo get on punting n can't pay, ready to cut lost or force selling coming in.....,so there is a px pressure here verse those brave heart vs grey marketers vs BBs, Just sharing my tot. (^_^) |

SGX must surely set a time limit for any suspension. There could be a positive rumour that cause the price to jump more than 20%.. To prevent more benefitting from the rumour, it has been halted.. What if the rumour turns out to be another GuthrieGTS rumour - not beneficial to its price? |

Hi Teeth53 My posting on 17 Jan raised the alarm of a long halt affecting the contra players (who can't afford to pay - pay up time ) and the short sellers (delivery of scripts time). What is the reason for the long halt?. Does it take five days to write an announcement? |

I was told by a remisier ( SGX shd wake up - a time limit must be set for any trading halt if what the remisier said is correct!!!) that buyers must pay for their purchases and sellers deliver their scripts despite the unprecedented 5-day halt. For contra buyers who do not have the means to pay, wonder how SGX is going to make them pay (for contra players) before force selling their shares and how much short sellers would have to pay by SGX force buying the shares on their behalf since the news would cause the shares to run up on Monday. It would be interesting to watch how the share price is going to be affected because of this unique force buying and force selling situation. |

Haha if it's true then Genting surely knows how to exploit a "loophole". Direct investment - can't. Indirect (or back door) method - can? Hope the details are released as soon as possible or else the short sellers or contra players will be severely penalised when scripts and payment is due!!. |
