For what you know, he may have sold at close to the top of every market cycle...

I do not believe he is a 'forever investor' (ie. hold his stocks forever)... Smiley

No, far from it... there are many real investors who don't lose money too...

Like when a long-term player (I will never call them investors) sells after a great profit,
Now that's what I call investing!

On the other hand, long-term investors often want to make more and more and more...
Thus, they always lose and lose and lose (by holding on to the fundamentals through every market cycle).... Smiley

For short-term investors (aka short-term traders), they miss short-term market moves...

For longer-term investors (aka longer-term traders), they can miss a significant move...
Same for longest-term investors (aka as longest-term traders... eg. 6 months-1 year)...

But a 'forever investor' (ie. one who doesn't sell at all),
they miss all the greatest profits of their lives !... over and over again... hehehe... Smiley

I see dow got further to drop..at least to 4000...but it will be a sucker rally for awhile to suck in more victim.

I suggest a move to gold and silver...even if a market decline does not come abt , historically, it have never fail to show hugh supply of printed fiat money in the market lead to high inflation and high gold and silver px...

All CBs ard the world have been pumpng $ like mad to save their economy..

you can be sure of gold...dont like our PM say ...gold cannot do anything..

you should see chart...even one top guy from govt recently advise a move into gold..in a talk..

make your move now.

Not to forget...who bailed out the banks during their financial crisis? The tax payers!  Should there be a time bomb (due layoffs and overspending), the banks should also be more understanding!

Rises in retail figures obviously is a +ve stroke for d illed economy. However, if people there were using cash to settle d retail biz, then ok. What if, most of them were transact over plastic n end of d day, banks going after them. Could be a hidden time bomb, in time to come liao. But what people there in mind is that, dun worry, bank down, gov will bail them out ones. Chialat liao.
