Coincides with my TA. But do note, the current rally is more likely a bullish rally already rather than bear rally. But of course it's way due for a corrective wave... don't expect STI to revisit anywhere near 1450. Just wait for signs of the next bottom, and then buy and hold those solid blue chips. Cheongwee highlighted a very nice longside trading strategy of going for STI firstliners, then midcaps, then pennies. 

In any case, it's very very likely that STI has already established a long-term double bottom at 1455-1473 zone. I'd expect strong supports around 1960, 1800. 2200 is more of an interim support but if it breaks then the next support is around 2095-2100. Do note 200dma has already hinted of uptrend.

Don't have to be overly bullish or bearish. Who knows, it might just consolidate for a while. Mental paralysis/fixation in any mode of trading is suicidal.

OAO Gazprom, Russia’s biggest publicly traded company, OAO GMK Norilsk Nickel and OAO Sberbank lost more than 4 percent. The 30-stock Micex Index fell 7.5 percent to 1,109.21 at 6:41 p.m. in Moscow. The dollar-denominated MSCI Russia Index, which climbed 105 percent through yesterday since the end of February, sank 4.6 percent.

Citigroup slashed its recommendation on Russia to “underweight” from “overweight,” telling clients to “avoid the high-flying commodity sectors” including steel and oil, as well as steering clear of banks, according to a research report. Moscow-based Troika Dialog said today investors are buying put options to protect against declines in stocks.

“Having risen more off its lows than any other emerging market, Russia no longer looks nearly as undervalued as it did a few months ago,” Andrew Howell, a New York-based Citigroup strategist, wrote in the report dated June 2. “Significant macro challenges remain.”

Sorry about last post, forgot to update the chart. Very sorry.

After updating the chart, I see that today's close just cleared this line.

But then still got two trading days to go for this week.

Friday 4.45pm then decide whether to dump all or add more.

Go to STI weekly charts. Join the highs of the weeks 12 Oct 07, 2 Nov 07, 23 May 08 and 6 Jun 08.

Extend this line. STI hit this line today and pull back.

May a)go back to 50MA (~2080), or 2)may shoot across this line.

Plan: if a) be brave and buy when STI nears ~2080

         if b) be brave and buy when STI retreats and test this line.
