Hi chinkiasu, Are you sure the price target of 4.4 was writing by me? I don't remember mentioning that..... :) and also I don't set price targets at all. I only suspected that SPC is bottoming out which I think it has. It seems to be on an uptrend now. |

Hi Giantlow, Hey thanks for the information on the warrant seminar. I hope I can find time to attend. I have 45 lots of one of the SPC warrant. As you know, I only average up. I think I might wait till my warrant goes to 20c, then I buy some more......... I shall be flying to the second fastest economy in Asia tomorrow morning. It is a country with tremendous potential. One of my dream is to buy a land there and build a hotel:). It is Vietnam! |

I should also add that particularly the coy had actually bought back shares @ about 4.4 in mid december... and this was against a downward trend.. I wonder why is the price being depressed.. i noted a similar situation some years back with Keppel Corp when it was trading around $4 for quite somewhile.. then it rocketed leaving Sem corp behind.. |

yes, shplayer, I noted your excellent posts and that you believe the stock will go up at least for the medium term. I hold similar view, the only problem is I am kan cheong for a quick rally (because of warrant play) since all the fundamentals are pointing in that direction... |

NEW YORK: NEW YORK: The price of crude oil surged more than $2 a barrel Tuesday after the U.S. energy secretary said the country would double the size of its Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The capacity of the reserve will be expanded to 1.5 billion barrels of oil from 727 million barrels over the next two decades, Samuel Bodman, the energy secretary, said during a conference call. Oil extended its rise on the spread of colder weather that is likely to increase U.S. consumption of heating fuel. "Doubling the size of the SPR would add significant upward pressure on oil prices," said Jason Schenker, an economist at Wachovia in Charlotte, North Carolina. "It would remove a significant amount of supply from the market. Refiners will have to spend more to get the available barrels." |

wah Livermore, your recommendation a bit misleading leh at today's closing, SPC DBeCW070423 is 16cents. convert 2 warrents to 1 share. at a premium of 7.11%, SPC needs to reach above $4.67 SPC DBeCW070305 is 2.5cents. convert 4 warrents to 1 share. at a premium of 5.5%. SPC needs to reach above $4.60 the only advantage is a longer time frame but if u realli want longer time frame, u should look at SPC CAL eCW070730. closing at 24.5cents. convert 2 warrents to 1 share. at a premium of 7.57%, SPC needs to reach above $4.69 |

Oil heads toward $56LONDON (Reuters) - Oil rose toward $56 a barrel on Thursday, supported by cold weather in top consuming regions and by Washington's decision to increase emergency fuel reserves. U.S. crude was up 31 cents at $55.68 a barrel by 1115 GMT, having gained 33 cents on Wednesday. London Brent crude was also up 31 cents to $55.74. Technical strength helped the market recover lost ground after U.S. data on Wednesday showed a rise in crude oil. "The technical picture is supportive. Prices collapsed and recovered twice -- it looks like there is now more upside than downside," said Tony Nunan, manager at Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Corp.'s risk management unit. Reuters PicturesEditors Choice: Best pictures Expectations of continued cold weather in the U.S. Northeast were also supporting prices. DTN Meteorlogix has forecast temperatures to average below normal in the next six to 10 days. So far the cold weather has had a limited impact on oil inventories, but traders are awaiting figures later on Thursday that will show the level of U.S. natural gas stocks. A Reuters poll of analysts showed the market expects gas storage to have fallen last week by 176 billion cubic feet, compared with a draw of 76 bcf a year ago. Natural gas prices stalled on Wednesday after a 20 percent rally that began at the end of last week. Wednesday's late gains on oil added to a rally sparked late the previous day when the United States announced plans to build up its strategic oil reserves by 11 million barrels this spring. "The response to the SPR announcement is significant in its implication that longs are now entering the market with a bit more confidence," said Barclays Capital. However, U.S. energy department officials said on Wednesday the purchase could be delayed if prices are high.. "In the near term, although the 11 million barrel addition to reserves is relatively small, it will help to augment the deficit we expect the market to sustain," said Goldman Sachs. © Reuters 2007.
