Stocks head for lower open ahead of Fed meeting

NEW YORK - U.S. stocks headed for a lower opening Tuesday, as investors winced at rising oil prices and a UPS Inc. profit warning ahead of the Federal Reserve's rate-setting meeting.

Fed policymakers are meeting Tuesday and Wednesday, and will announce Wednesday afternoon their decision to change or hold the key federal funds rate steady at 2 percent. With the economy weak and price pressures rising, the central bank is in a tough spot _ if rates are low, the economy has more chance to expand, but inflation can accelerate, too.

Think STI will dip lower on WED & THURs till the FED rate cut decision made. GOOD time to take some cheap "durian", hold your breath and stay calm !!! pick your stock on thursday ~~ hehe   Smiley

 Alert Admin 		Dow did a "hat trick" of its own, down three digits and three days in a row....with Friday down by 220 points.....drag down by financial stocks due to Citibank and ML warning....not a good signs for the near future...testing new low???

 Alert Admin 		Ang Mos have less  money to support. Ask China to sign business contract. Singapore already helped but...... Nuclear and solar energy will be next trend if  oil price getting higher. Some countries leaders are  weak in tackling the situation -- poor foresight, power crazy and high corruption.

 Alert Admin 		oh no,,,,,,i just bought in yangzhijiang tis morning after two m onth holding 100%,,,,,look like below 90cts akan datang,,,,,,,,but never mind when dow jones breakthru support there will have heavy selling and than come with bottom fishing,,,,,,,,,so i still confident that the near term bottom next week  ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cheers
