thank you madam (I presume) for the encouragement.  Yes, words used properly, reflects the care and discipline in the user's mind... I note you do take care to use/choose words accurately... and it is a joy for the reader..
yes, I believe LMA is a good brand... I understand all anaesthetists would have known the brand and perhaps even used at least one of their products |

Hi chinkiasu U seem to be a "wordsmith" and like to use "slang" or "literary" words - keep it up that way. Confirmed with LMA 2006's report - the retail investors hold only abt 70 million shares.Guess because the free float is TOO small, the BBs or syndicates can't try to push up or down the share price (unlike other loss-making companies whose share prices can be played up and down coz' the free floats are reasonably big). Though it has remained stagnant, at least our investments are safe and sound (I mean LMA is unlikely to be wound up, and shd get out of its penny-stock image in the foreseeable future - may be next year - only four months away?) Agree? |

Penny Stock is those stock below 1 dollar. You can call CSC, YongNam penny stocks too. But their volume is much higher than LMA. that's what singaporegal means. |

Oops Hikitty.. I meant divvy or divvies - not the stupid wastrel kind but the money (dividends) we hopefully can collect from LMA.... I have vested quite a bit too in LMA, and I will just treat it as investment... and review when their results are out... |

The size of the public allotment of LMA was 28227million shares, NOT 2.82 million shares. Guess the main problem is the public float was clearly too big. As most public investors are stags. the price would remain suppressed below IPO price until most of them have sold. True? |

HI Singaporeregal Sorry for the factual error. LMA has below its IPO price most of the time since being listed in March 2005. It hit a high of $1.01 briefly in May 2006 before dipping till date to below its IPO price of 88 cents. Wonder how long more it must remain suppressed and how fast it can make up for lost time to hit above $1? Any comments? |

Hi Singaporeregal Fail to understand why LMA has become a penny stock. In fact, since being listed in March 2005, it has been below its IPO price of 88 cents till date. It hit a high of $1.01 for a short period in May 2006 (pse check me if I am wrong). Wonder how SGX approved its listing of 282 million shares (public: 2.82 million shares) @ 88 cents!!!! Guess it was overpriced from day one (earnings can't support price of share) or was the float just too big???? What's your comment on this suggestion?. |

From TA perspective, low volumes counters are a no-no. The counters that I avoid like the plague are penny stocks with low volumes. They tend to be very very speculative. |

Just can't understand why some SJ participants like to invest in "speculative" shares which are often not "fundamentally" sound. The companies of some speculative shares may be wound up anytime. LMA may be described as "solid as a rock" company.. Park some of your sweat $$$ in LMA at its current low prices, and in one year , your return will definitely be better than parking it in a savings or fixed deposit a/c (currently abt 1% for savings to a max of 3% for a 2-year fixed deposit a/c) |

Hi chinkiasu Tks for teaching me a new British slang for a stupid person "divvy" . U mean only divvys will buy ( or sell?) LMA.. Can't be true, lah! Those who buy @ low prices are "genuises", those who sell @ low prices are "divvys" ( or shd it be "divvies" - plural form). Agree? |

LMA is as dead as "ghost" town. Is it in for a re-rating by the "manipulators" ? Guess they can't be playing the buy and sell game themselves for too long before they tire out. Time to power up or wait indefinitely for another THREE years to do so???? Any comments from fellow SJ participants who are vested in LMA. |
