Hi Trader88, as long as you are not a scalper or news trader, you are fine. Ipunter, about breakouts strategy, I don't know what your strategy is. If you mention about news, it means you are good in fundamental analysis. Most FX trader is not news breakout strategy. If you mention this part, you are probably a scalper. Breakout strategy means you can analyze market and can pre-identify the beginning of turning point or continuation for a break. Honestly this is advance strategy. You should know the answer already.

Hi Trader88, don't misunderstand. I don't recommend any broker for you. If you happy with broker you have been engaging with, just use it. Every broker is the same. there are plus and minus. I give you the major issue, the rest will be your task to find yourselves. You won't understand if you haven't experienced it. So, I give you the headline, you find the rest. |

Hi Ipunter, If you are not news trader, you are safe. Just stay away from market during big news announcement. Your stop loss of 10 to 25 pips will not help you. If you are a scalper, you can enjoy its volatility. |

Wow .. Baseer, thanks. But don't think sharejunction admin will do that. :) Perhaps I need to be satisfied with title "Master". For singaporegal, I will have no secret for this one. Actually I had been called last time by some brokers (two actually), due to account reconciliation or I just know from my friend it's called re-quote. They explained to me about this and it has been confirmed well. This is not trading platform actually. This is their trading network. I don't observe history price, but the price movement during peak hours. For example, yesterday US unemployment report was announced, there is a different price movement between Saxobank and others ( I don't want to mention which one). Most of the time the price is the same, I told before it's happened during big news. There is a whip saw. I use MT4 and also other proprietary platform to compare. For example Saxobank (Saxotrader) and MIG (MT4), I still can see exactly the same price movement. |

Hi techsys, I don't understand. How can price history be volatile? Price history is something that occurred in the past and therefore should be the same regardless of trading platform. Can you enlighten me? Or if it is sensitive, can you PM me?

Admin , how about promoting Master techsys to the rank of Supreme ? : ) I am sure many will agree that he deserves that title . I mean .. look at the value of his posts. (from a beginners point of view) .. they are simply awesome heavy weight educational stuff. Even the experienced could learn a new point or two from his posts. And he is sharing his knowledge and experiences he has gathered. To draw a parallel with Maslow's heirarchy of needs ... while many of us are on the lower rung 'grappling with the bread and butter issues ' like how to read charts , how to interpret economic calendar etc ... here he is ..on the higher rung , sharing with with us not only the basics but also a 'helicopter view' analysis of which broker to use for what purpose ... surely his knowledge must be so vast as to post something like that ..... so, on the basis of his knowledge alone he deserves to be called a Supreme .... how about it Admin ..? : ) |

Its mind boggling ! The Universe is forever expanding ! i mean ... we not only have to learn about TA , FA , news analysis, sentiment analysis etc.... but now it seems like we have also to find the right broker to suit our personality / our skills / our style of trading .... hahaha ! no wonder only 5% make it to the top ..... : ) must really salute the top 5% who made it ! ( not discouraging anyone ... but musing the fact that it needs a lot of hard work/sacrifice of time etc to get the hang of things ... seek and u shall have it ! ) : ) |

I received some emails from others bro about my last post here. If I make a confusion, my apology. So here is my correction. Those brokers are not cheating in trading. They perform very well. The problem is when a news is announcing, the price history is very volatile. Compare to other brokers data, I see different record price (High and Low). So, if you are sentiment base trader, you might have benefitted from this behavior. Otherwise, you need to stay away during big news, especially on friday. If you insist to play, you need to put your stop loss wider. So please other reader, I don't black mark those forex brokers. If you are sentiment driven trader (scalper for instance) will be very happy to use them. |

Hi everyone, I just found something interesting. After a long observation, I realize that some brokers a kind of do cheating. I don't know the reason, but please verify by yourself. The problem is the whipsaw. I compare their actual price history and it isn't a common price movement. For you who are still using small amount of money, you can still use them. But for them who trade using big sum of money, can consider the risk from these brokers: FXCM, IBFX, FXDD, CMSFX, IGMarket. This is the list of broker in good category: MIG, SaxoBank, Dukascopy I'm still observing some other brokers. There is one fx broker that is seem very good, but I need to observe them more. |
