Just to clarify: I was referring "downtrend" to the negative news period, contrast to the pre-bad news period. |

Wow.....You had set yourself quite a high target...friend. Personally...I think its tough....1st...it has to cross the 2.05mark,then the chance will be brighter....2nd ..if only STI can sustain its positiveness or atleast maintain the present figure through out the day and finally...OLAM is still in its downtrend territory. Anyway...don't be despaired...anything can happen in stock market.... So once again...wish you all d best and good luck in your venture.... Cheers....!!!!

The recently-battered shares in Olam rose as much as 9.4% after UBS and Macquarie issued research notes saying the company's stocks were oversold. Olam hit a intraday high of $1.97, a day after the stock slipped 12.6% on rumours that the food and agricultural products firm has exposure to a commodities brokerage firm which has been hit by liquidity problems. Macquarie analyst Patrick Yau, who kept Olam at "outperform" at a target price of $3.82, said the recent sell-off in Olam's shares on Wed has created greater value in the stock. UBS analyst Gaurung Bhatia also said Olam's shares were oversold. "We believe there may be concerns about its working capital requirements given its high gearing levels and high commodity prices...the concerns are overdone and the stock should bounce back," Bhatia said. |

nowadays, u really don't know what negative news can hit a good solid company, last week first resource, what corruption, now OLAM... pity for them... kena short kau kau.. so, it will bounce back la.. since only less than 3% exposure. | ||||

Wow, seems like a drastic drop to me. Per Olam, contrary to rumours, comp has no meaningful exposure...less than 3% (refer to SGX website for more info). |
