Singapore-listed Chinese  shipbuilder Cosco Corp (COSC.SI) said on Monday it had not been  implicated in an audit report on Chinese state-owned enterprises  that caused its shares to fall as much as 7.4 %.

“The board wishes to state that neither the company nor any  of its subsidiaries has been cited as having committed any  irregularities and disciplinary violations in the National Audit  Office report,” Cosco said in a statement to the Singapore
Exchange.

Cosco shares fell on Monday after Xinhua News said several  irregularities were found in the 2009 financial statements of 17  state-owned enterprises, including Cosco's Chinese parent.  Disciplinary action has already been taken, Xinhua said in the  report published late on Friday. 
Cosco finished 6.9 % lower at $1.89 on Monday with  over 42.7 million shares changing hands.
