Genting Singapore - Technical Analysis update Genting stock has established a steep major uptrend. Regarding the mid-term technicals it is confined in a symmetrical triangle pattern. A break above the upper confine currently at 2.20 would suggest resumption of the prior bull run, targeting the recent peak at 2.35 and then 2.70. Violation of the lower confine near 2.01 on the other hand would inflict near-term technical damage and could trigger a correction towards around 1.68. The longer-term uptrend remains in force unless the latter support is broken. Looking at the very short-term technical situation, price found support at 2.04 the past three sessions. /dbwarrants/ |

Genting Singapore uptrend not in danger - AmFraser
AmFraser analyst Najeeb Jarhom says recent downward pressure on Genting Singapore (G13.SG) “should not endanger” the stock’s recent uptrend so long as the price holds above the key $1.84-$1.92 breakout points.
However, the house reckons resistance will stay in place at the $2.12-$2.22 band for now. The stock is +0.5% at $2.07. “Frequent testing of lower end of $2.00-$2.22 must have left traders edgy” but minimum weekly closing prices since mid-September remain well above weekly lows, which ”should neutralize some of their fears.“
It pegs a near-term target price at $2.12-$2.16.

GENTING SINGAPORE • Q4 results from Las Vegas Sands (swing to a US$273 mln profit from a US$114 mln loss a year ago, thanks to a strong showing in Singapore* and Macau) should give Genting shares a boost. *Marina Bay Sands’ pretax profit rose 26.4% q-o-q to US$305.8 mln, representing 41% of group total of US$738.9 mln. Indeed, profit in December alone was US$110 mln. • At recent low of $2.00 last Monday Jan 31st, Genting’s share price had fallen 35 cents or 15% from the record high on Nov 9th of $2.35. • The trigger was the disappointing Q3, when profit of S$182.08 mln was not as robust as Q2’s S$396.52 mln. • Technically, Genting remains a BUY having held up well above the $2 roundophobia level. • Genting is likely to release Q4 results this Thursday Feb 10th, given results for the preceding 3 quarters were all released on Thursdays before mid-month. http://www.remisiers.org/cms_images/Daily_Review_LT-070211.pdf |

well... quite a few houses release reports of genting with a TP 2.70+ ... I guess ur not just well informed.... 2 weeks ago... even today has a report on a Buy Call on Genting.... from one of brokerage firm...
