Hi Mike22, if it does not go back up to 0.07 by next week, sell your rights back to the market, you loss is abt (0.07-0.035=0.035) x100,000 = 3500, assuming, as in Pension's example, you holding 100,000 rights. Thats a lot better than losing 7500, if you hold till they expire. |

mike22, either you sell your right back to the market at loss or profit before or on 30 aug 2007 or keep the mothershare and pay for it at 0.60 per pc. You oso need to pay for the right issue T+3 effect from the date you bought the right. Say you have 100,000 rights in your hand now, you need to pay 100,000 x 0.60 plus some min. charges. If you hold on to the right after 30 Aug and do not wish to pay for mothershare, then all your right will be forfeited meaning if you buy 100,000 right at 0.075 ,you make a loss of 7,500 plus some min. charges. |

sorry,pension...i still do not understand....i nvr buy the mother share...juz only bought the rights.if i were to hold the rights only,wat will happen?cos me dun understand this thing at all...juz too sill to anyhow buy when i saw its cheap....now realli at a lost of weat to do....kindly englighten me...tks |

Hmm... We have 2 casinos right? How come no one talks about the competitor? What happens if Marina IR performs better than Sentosa IR? Hmm... seems like no news from Marina IR.... Any views on that?

when the subprime bubble burst, fund manager pull out their fund. If they do not invest their money again, they may have big problem answering to stakeholder. Definetely they will look for business that can give them good return, the one and the only attractive counter now is genting. If they do not invest now and when the big casino operator come in and start swallowing the share, it will be too late for them. |

mike22, if you subscribe for the mother share, I think you should, your mother share will cost you 0.60+0.075 =0.675. If the mother share goes over 0.675, you will make some money when all the right is convert to mother share. You just hope for the mothershare to goes up these few days. If the mothersahre goes up, the right oso goes up then you may wish to let go you right if it goes beyond 0.075 or narrow your loss. |

I bought genting R at 0.075 yesterday.but now is only 0.035....next thurs they will close this counter and until 18 sept then can trade. can any 1 explain if i buy in wat will happen?will this share merge with the gen int to trade?bought a lot...now paper lose 10 over k.....should i buy in or sell lost....any1 can advise me?tks |
