From past experience, this counter must buy way before it declares dividend and sell just before ex dividend.

Or else you have to give back all the dividend and lose some more!!!

On Friday, SPH re-test the resistance at $3.92 and closed at $3.93 with LOW volume of 1.47 million shares traded.

During the past 10 bars, there have been 4 white candles and 4 black candles.  During the past 50 bars, there have been 23 white candles and 18 black candles for a net of 5 white candles.

RSI & MACD are flat as RSI trend sideways.

Important Resistance of SPH: $3.98

Immediate Support of SPH: $3.92

Currently prices are supported by 20 days MA at $3.92.

 Alert Admin 		don't speculate too much and play according to what u can afford to loose. Money management is very impt.position and calculate how much you can afford to buy and how much to lose(3 % ,5% or 10%) and put a stop-loss.play those stocks that u r familiar with. Learn from the mistake and always remind yourself . stock mkt is like a casino. you may lose all your $ if u does not trade base on your trading plan(discipline,patience & stick to your strategy).penny counters are to be avoided if u are not sure and do not have time to monitor...u can lose  a lot  of $$ easily... at any time , if u r not sure just don't trade..

I wonder if anyone is holding SPH since 2001 days. 

singapore press holdings may not turned out to be as good an investment as many believed. for 9 years if u kept hold of it u would not have any capital gains but depend totally on dividends, which is declining now

SPH 2002 - 2011 9 year return if you have held on to it all this while

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) reported net profit of $84.1 million for the second quarter ended Feb 29 on Friday. This is $8.7 million or 11.6 per cent higher, compared to the corresponding quarter in 2011.

The directors have declared an interim dividend of 7 cents per share, which will be paid on May 23.
