Yeah, very busy with my work. See you wanting to short BIG, but this counter is now different status from before, so don't anticipate any correction like usual. You see the chart it is one straight line up. It means there is more to it. So if like to take profit it is ok, but never short on BIG.

I mean Genting Sp will cheong above $1.20. As for Biosensors, the next move above 80 cents will then try 1 buck. If it can go past one dollar, then you can see plenty of attention by BBs. | ||||

Yah man, 27 Jul then closed at 0.555. If listen to him and follow up to acc till 15 Oct, d px window were 0.555 to 0.655. Huat liao, just like Genting SP loh. In fact many sifus also chip in their invaluable views on the good future on this burger. On that, AK made some avg, n now my avg px is 0.573. Tks all d sifus, cheers.

Issue new convertible loan stock at a lower interest rate (compared to issuing bonds as per item 2) with lower exercise price (for example, at 80cts) compared to the $1.05 ones dated 3 years ago. 2. Issue bonds (higher interest rate compared to item 1 as above) but attached with free warrants. If im BIG, i would prefer the first method. If im an institutional fund, i would prefer the second method. The DES sales is not growing well and looks disappointing to me. Sales flat for the past 3 quarters. Terumo licensing revenue is disappointing. JWMS deal started with lots of hope but somehow it didn't grow is fast. BIG said China DES market is growing at 80% compoundingly when they made the acquisition back in Aug 2007. Back then i think JWMS was already making US$16m a year. If JWMS has been growing as projected, BIG could be doing a secondary HK/China listing (vendor sale) like what Wilmar is planning to do. There is only one main catalyst for this stock now but i don't think it will happen this year.......... ************************************************************************** This means that BIG don't have much bargining power when rolling over their US$40m debt. But WTF, the US$40m issue has been resolved and that should bring some comfort to shareholders. BIG's chart shows a beautiful and firm uptrend since Nov 2008. Look at the solid 25, 50, 100, 200 days MA line. Immediate support 69ct, that means if close below this support, safer for traders to start reducing positions as this stock seems no strength if it closes below support and may go even lower. If this stock ever does a morning opening gap down after a few days of minor down, those more kanchiong holders may also consider sell some. This is because the chart will look like an "island top" formation, which price usually will go down some more. Longer term should be still up as the dominant primary trend now for this stock is still upward (line of least resistance). |

The issue of confirmed Bonds and Warrants has any effect on this counter? It is glued to the price of $0.715. Thinking of offloading it. Hope some experts can advice on this. |

Hi fellow foumers, Long time no see/ hear..... Haven't been studying BIG in depth for very long time already. A brief summary of what i feel on the recent Q results. Biomatrix sales still weak in my opinion. Should be at least US$20m per Q to be more respectable since launched for 2 years already. Licensing revenue still weak. JWMS looks good but price competition in China quite fierce. Hope got some good news from Terumo Japan FDA for hockeystick upside in licensing revenue. I expect some kind of cash for royalty reduction deal after Japan approval. I think Biomatrix DES no hope of going into USA market due to JNJ's "Wright Patent". But Biomatrix-Freedom technology (being totally polymer free) should be able to escape the "Wright" patent and BIG will capitalise on it. Commercialisation of Biomatrix-Freedom in USA should be around 5 years away if BIG can find a JV partner soon. The 4 BIG DES players probably view BIG is an industry pest. Their MNC attitude is to just let the pest play small in his own small corner so it won't affect our market share. M&A at the moment looks unlikely esp after JNJ's NEVO results. Any M&A attractiveness of BIG will have to depend on Biomatrix-Freedom because it is not caught in the "Wright" patent. I suggest BIG partner with a new "non-DES major" MNC with experience in cardio field. St Judes Medical looks like a perfect JV partner for USA market. Can really kick some butts hard in USA market if BIG can find a strong partner in USA market. Whether a stock will chiong or lau, 50% depends on overall market trend (the stock market index's primary trend), 20% industry's fundamental strength (sector theme), 30% on the company's performance (FA). Timing is crucial for making money in stock market so do learn some TA. Hope you guys huat and happy investing / trading

Yes, this time BIG manages to hold its gain after result announcement. 2 days before announcement the price actually dipped to 66.5 if I remember correctly. The shortists and the faithless, if any, should have been punished thus far. And yes , where's the BIG grand loyalist, Bengster now ? He has been championing BIG's cause despite being hit by critics in this forum previously. On hindsight and to make a fair statement now, Bengster has been right on his faith by most accounts on this stocks previously, though I remember his last few postings seem to be less 'encouraging'. The only wrong thing that has happened for previous BIG investors is that the share is listed in wrong market. That is, a market where investors shy away from concept stock, particularly those in the medical device industry. Hope this time round the market can appreciate better. Will there be a takeover target play ? IMO, looking at the price BIG is still a long long way from there Vested and still heavily wounded at this price. |

BIG is not going down this time after the results. Typically that was the usual scenario earlier. Looks like a good sign reacting to the results posted last week. Not many panic investers into this counter nowadays. Wait for the OCBC research reports this week. I am sure they are also going to raise the TP. How much more? Is it between 0.9 & 1.06 or more? Wait and see. GOOD LUCK for all who invested. |
