rogue trader, great to know you, we shld continue to discuss sembmar & kepcorp etc etc, greater exposure now would be useful if price of sembmar, sembcorp, kepcorp in my eyes. fundamentals in the oil & gas are also overlapping in the discussions for these counters. what i find crazy is ezra, i hv not done my research, but is ezra overvalued? |

idesa, i disagree with your point on sembmarine, (just to look objective and not pro-SPC. lol.), oil rigs are been built but it doesnt mean order book will shrink that soon, because old rigs still have to be replaced, and the step up in E&P in asia could bring good news. |

I would say that we are on diff field. Both ways make $$. My way of making $$ I sleep well. If I duck in and out, I cannot sleep and eat well. Hence, I choose to buy and put under pillow. I have a day job to take care, don't have much time to monitor every minutes. I am doing so lately because I kan chong that my baby SPC was surging by the minutes...lol! However, I am not taking profit yet. |

ok, peace hor.. i selective mode for different counters.. most of the time assume the role of a "intra-day" trader as no enuf dough to long expensive counters like semb mar, semb corp, spc, keppel and so on.. u might be right for spc as nothing is impossible.. i can said i more "inclined" to day trading as i was sort of "trained" in that way.. good luck to your investing. |

I am not a trader, I am an investor. I have a timeframe of SPC for 4 years before I re-evaluate again. I am a lousy gambler. I assume that you are comparing $$ invested and the $$ return. This you get a better return I agree, based on today's trade. The reason for me to stay in SPC because the world is oils scarce. This will translate into better return for energy stock like SPC. As for Sembcorp Marine, well, indirectly related to oild play as it's in rigging biz. It will come to an end when rigger will have less orders. But the oild demand will still be there. I am sticking to SPC for a long time, I guess. |
