STX OSV Holdings (SOH SP) – BUY
Last price: S$1.245
Resistance: S$1.35
Support: S$1.16
We call a technical hold from buy on 1 Aug 11 as our previous profit target of S$1.57 has been met and risks were high to continue holding for the next upside target then. As the market tanked, this stock appears to be resilient and staged a strong rebound in the last trading session. At this juncture, it is a technical BUY with a target price of S$1.35 as a rebound play on an immediate basis. A minor resistance appears at S$1.28. CCI has just turned up from oversold levels but however, MACD has dip below the centreline. Alternatively, investors may consider exiting their longs at S$1.16.

Usually, when the prices go up eventually for many to break even, these people will not sell, because by that time, the mass sentiment will be so bullish that everyone is 'bullish all over', thus tending to buy rather than selll...

I saw an analyst report that say expect good result but profit drop..and with parent doing badly and oil price getting lower, think market will price this lower....hope there is no cancellation of contract....... | ||||

a gentle reminder to those intend to play short term in this ship on monday.. it's better to take some (if not all) profit coming monday.. us markets are hitting resistance soon (especially S& P's nearing the 1200-1220 zone).. 5 dvd is solid but its parent company stxpo is in deep shit.. (it might not affect stxosv performance but imagine if genting berhad is facing financial prob.. u think genting singapore will be spared?) |

Although STXOSV broke support today , it rebounded back to close at its highest at $1.245 . Short term resistance would be at $1.27 .
