Hit 72.5c - One more possibility is privatisation of HH & SBowl - to delist n avoid bad publicity on family feuds. this is an excellent time to delist - even at $1 it is a big bargain to the Teo family. Possibilities are:- 1) interim dividend if same as last yr = $0.005 (to be announced on half-yr results -5 Aug). 2) bonus issue? the last BI was in March 2010 :1-for-4. If mgt don't declare NOTHING this yr, it would look very bad on them - b'cos book value will double to > $1.30 @ half-yr from last quarter ($0.67) due to revaluation surplus of ZSP hotel. we are stating just its book value not RNAV which is even higher (IF accounting for WIP project profits). 3) another mystery is the $500m MTN facility, no news on its utilisation yet. this is a super big sum relative to HH mkt cap. It got to be a big acquisition - big tender award or buying up cos. 4) Kallang pudding site redevelopment could yeild big profit - at the AGM mgt said they will be rebuilt it on strata title, i.e. they will be selling the units piecemeal after rebuilt which is good news - immediate cashflow + higher yield.

The hotels are already opened as well as several of the retail stores. This is positive as it will provide steady recurring income for the company. Amongst the retail outlets are NTUC, Cheers, Hock Hua, Gong Char, Toastbox, BreadTalk etc. |

The stock is not well-covered in the first place, not many people know of this stock. Just look at the trading volume. Even if there's news, doubt many people will notice. Hiap Hoe is raising 500M from medium term notes, makes me wonder what they want to do with that money. I think there's a chance that Hiap Hoe may buy over Superbowl's share of the hotels or probably even to buy over Superbowl itself. Of course, guessing is pointless, wait for further news and see what they want to do. :) |

RNAV is between $1.20 to $1.30 according to various houses. At current price, this 50% discount. Why is the price remaiing so low even after the revaluation of assets? | ||

if purely looking at property revaluation only ..then SuperBowl is better . Just ZSP alone the Net Nav increase is higher than Hiap Hoe. but if u include in Business then maybe Hiap Hoe will be better in medium term .

$500m Medium Term Note is a big sum for Hiap Hoe - bigger than its market cap of $339m (471m shares @ 72c).
