Yes, I do agreed with you. What about Blue Chips like Cosco and Nol??fall from $8 all the way to trough,if buy at $3/4 level also can't sleep....

Ok, let say you buy DBS at 22...at sti high of 3900...can you pls tell me what will the px of DBS, if u see sti 5000... we will see sti 5000 right?, a matter of time..so can i not say the px of DBS will definitely higher than 22....i thk it shd be 30!!! but for penny, if the crises get worse, they will disappear from your monitor... so which one can sleep better???DBS or penny...just like celestial, and ferro...thought to be solid penny...many many ppl cannot sleep, and have gone mad.. never never invest in penny, you can play them for awhile in this sucker rally...

I suggest going for more stable yielding investments such as Shipping Trusts or REITs which some good ones still provide good annual distribution yield (~10%) at current prices. This is a comfortable yield which will provide ~$10k yearly passive income based on a $100k capital. This $10k can be fully spent or reinvested for compounding the investment. By 10 years, one would have recover back an equivalent of the initial capital sum from collecting distributions. If all goes well, one can expect around the same yearly yield of $10k (assuming without reinvesting the distributions) continuously (though there is nothing guaranteed in this world). This is much safer than investing capital into penny stocks which may result in gains as well as equal chance of loss of capital. For a retiree, capital preservation should be priority over investment gains. but personnally, would punt on penny ONLY WITH PROFIT FROM THE MARKET...so call casino money... so now you can lose all without losing your sleep(.afterall not your money)..and they can make u rich like ipunter said.. |

he said...."with 100k set a side for...." so we can assume he got more than 100K...that is 100k for investment...after setting a side(means put aside) certain amount....so he probably got more then 100k, how much more, only he knows.. if u buy penny might well go star cruise and put 100k on the table, either u double or u lose all..nothing to worry anymore...on the spot..why trouble yourself and buy penny.. but if you buy penny, u cannot sleep till the penny go penniless, and you go senseless... |

I don't think you can retire comfortably with 200K (your best scenario in investment) or 100K+ (your worst scenario).

why i say so, is becos i am seeing a new low to come....so all penny will be real penny... never invest in penny, i post this even at the expense of picking up quarrel, so be it... he sais and post that he dont want fear,,,,and blue chip is the place to be...not penny.. u buy penny, u buy fear....

If you buy good pennies at floor level, your 100k can become 200k along the way... But it is important to buy at floor level... and wait for the rise. NOT start to buy after it has started to take off... unless you can grab it's tail from the floor...

alamak, i read differently when a person tell u i can set aside 100K for penny shares, it already meant the person had enough already lah 100K to play penny share.. it is still reasonable good times to buy those that has their price below 20% of their peak.. |

how to retire comfortably in spore with 100K invested in stocks? haha.. well not unless one has other sources of income such as rentals, properties all paid off, no more liabilities etc... hehehe... agree with AK, if one has invested in GAR during the low 0.2 cents or YZ or GP, now should have gotten around 100% returns.. GAR is high at 0.5 today. | ||||

Ha ha, if AK dun perceive LLan wrongly, wat he meant were those kena demoted to penny stocks(stock below a $) since 9 Mar ds yr. Previously, they were not loh. Some of them r reviving since mths ago liao, ie Gent SP, YZ, GAR n Noble etc. Gent SP, GAR n Noble r component stocks, so far no sign to be taken out of d list yet. Hope not loh, lets see by end Sep. |

100 K for penny stock!!!what a joke???.. you want without fear,buy blue chip,,,,,i can see all blues chip to double in 5 years times.. and it is safe, and you got dividend also...penny...no....no...no.... your 100K will become penny if you buy penny....never , long penny.. |

If I want to retire comfortably in 5 years time and able to enjoy touring all over the world, now with $100K set aside for Penny Stocks, which 5 counters are the best to pick so that money will be increased then at least twice? Five counters each 20K without fear of losing much capital and there is every chance for appreciation twice the amount. Please note I cannot lose the capital at all. At best return me $100K with interests. The question was posed to me by a friend's aunty and I am scratching my head to answer them. I am sure you know the answer!!! | ||||
