ET88888, I have no doubt that CES will make a profit this financial year. What I actually meant is that the profit might be lower than expected due to high labour and material cost, which will result in share price dropping. My target happens to be $1 also, when i bought it at above 60 cents. %#$@*& |

well i am not sure if the IR thingy will be a white elephant but I am v sure that when they go ahead with that idea, they din factor in the subprime thingy.. so if things really get damn bad, i m not surprise it will be become a white elephant.. every investment is a risk.. and even garberment also made losses from their investments too.. look at china suzhou project.. how many billions lost! and many other more to name.. no doubt that CES is a fundamentally sound company but i m jus uncomfortable that the current price has yet to factor in any potential economic downturn and property recession.. if any..i will only look at it when the price factor in all the potential risks involved.. and i am prepared to hold long term.. jus my own personal opinion.. |

Lazyhorse, CES is one of the most stabilized and prudent Construction company in Singapore. Its HDB business is like doing National Service (remember army uniforms). It is expanding from a Construction company to a property developer. This year alone its business hit above the $1billion mark inclusive of property development. MM Lee has mentioned last night that our infrastructure, construction are booming , mind you NOT AFFECTED by US downturn. If CES goes freefall, it means the construction industry also goes down. It also mean the Property and Financial sectors gose bust too. It means Singapore is facing major problems. It means IR "White Elephant" . Is this possible ??? Not for at least the next 5 years. My Target is $1.00 or no sell. |

Judging from current sentiments, very positive news will only result in share prices maintaining at this level. Any slight bad news and this counter will go into a freefall. Lets hope for the best. Me still holding on to this counter. |

Numbers are numbers, like the share price is so closely related. What we need is just some fund to push the price up, like they care what these numbers actually are! |

Assuming each unit sold at average price of $1.5 million, the total income is $988.5 millions. Conservatively, if the cost of construction is $400 million, $988.5m - $208m - $400m, this is a cool $380.5m profits. Of course, the cost of construction is much much lower perhaps taken into considerations for bank borrowing, the figures are just right. This is the counter to look out for IF THE SENTIMENTS ARE RIGHT. |

CES bought the WestPeak Enblock deal for only $206,088,888 and built 659 condominium units. It was definitely a cheap buy. U guess the profits yourselves lah ??

Today and tomorrow will see the panic sellers to sell their shares cos of the CNY..... Only patient buyers will enjoy the fruit after CNY as BBs will then return from holiday to shoot up this counter...... NOW is the CHANCE to accumulate MORE and MORE to wait for the BBs to buy higher to push up the price back to 80cents. GONG XI FA CAI........ |
