There are many newbies who may be 'listening in' and they may take recommendations made here seriously. Thus, when one gives a recommendation, it would be better to give reasons why one should buy or sell otherwise the poor newbies may not know how to cut loss...

After brief recovery this morning, it has fallen back to just 4 cents above yesterday's lau si price. Think it wiser to stay out for now. Share buy back has never helped much. There are just too many shares out there to buy back.

FY11 PE (x): 11.3
FY12F PE (x): 17.0 Upgrade to BUY. We see value emerging at current price. Consensus and our estimate place Singapore Airlines (SIA) at 3.9x- 4.0x EV/EBITDA, which is the lowest multiple in 11 years. This is 1SD below long 11-year mean and over the past six years, there were only five times that SIA traded at such multiples, now being the fifth. On a P/B basis, the stock is 1.06x consensus estimates and 1.1x ours. Its 10-year mean P/B and EV/EBITDA are 1.22x and 6.3x respectively. We also note that there is a significant disconnect between the performance of the stock and its latest bond, which ironically has risen and offers just 1.6% yield.
Upgrade to BUY. We lower our target price from S$14.20 to S$14.10, after minor adjustments to SIA’s fair value reserves. Our valuation is based on an average of long-term mean P/B and EV/EBITDA multiples. At S$14.10, SIA trades at an 18% discount to its mean EV/EBITDA.

anyone can suggest a px to get off the flight nicely. me.....13..how??? but i think i may long here for a while if the px hit and the going is still good. SIA..always a great way to fly. |

yes sir, you see this 12 is well defended, but tomolo, dont know whether it can hold, nevermind, this one is worth holding.,it is a good stock. i only bought 4 lots, today, i bought alot. so far already a little more than quater into the mkt. i am still bullish short term for the next 6 mth. for me , this is opportunity to buy cheap. but next year will be even cheaper , that is what i think. jmo. now data are mix, according to ECRI, it is too soon to call arecession, it need to wait till fall, that is in the 4th quater...september onward.,before they can really declare recession or not.

I would stay away from WINGs from chicken. lol!!! Did he tell the world then : what types of Wing to stay away , or when to buy then. lol: IN blue chips, for an average retail palyer, price dip more than 30%, or more , it wld be worth to analyse when to accumulate bk .. Unless one is a big and rich players can play buy / sell at very fast paste.
