Since topic is on fixed deposit... for those prefering lower risk.... why not try NTUC Income ... i think they still offer a product whereby you let them keep a lump sum for say 8 yrs, the potential return could be around 4% pa. plus a little insurance (basic) cover. |

Land banking business is about the same with unit trust. That is the coy will manage a pool of money to procure land, mostly in overseas as local are most of state land. One of my former colleagues is on this line. She has invited me for some talks on this type of investment, but I didn't accept it. This is becasue if you get involve, upfront you have pay for the management fee cum the daily recurrent admin fee. Unlike some of the unit trust, I think for land investment, you cannot withdraw at anytime. I got her contact no, if anyone interested, I will give the contact no to you via email or SMS. The moral of the story is don't let others to manage your money, do it yourself for free. Cheers. |

Yes, the choice is yours to be made and you should be able to bear the full blow of that decision! I remember I heard before there's another similar scheme whereby people pool their money for drilling discovered oil wells. High interest will be paid in the first few years to the investors prior to the crude oil is being drawn from the well....overall, real investment return of up to 20%pa is almost guarantee by the listed holding company in US. Anyone came across such scheme to share? |
