KE says it has increased its fair value to $1.05 because it expects the semiconductor manufacturing solutions provider to report solid growth with sustainable margins. "We expect year to June 2007 top-line revenue to rise 45%, fueled by the full-year contribution of SV Probe's acquisition of Kulicke & Soffa Industries's wafer test division," Kelive said in a note to clients. "Organic growth arising from the current demand of broad-based end-market demand, stable ASP, high utilization rates, and good product mix will also lead to the solid top line," it said. The research firm said Ellipsiz's valuation, at 8.2x forecast earnings for its financial year ending next June, was attractive when compared to those of its peers, which average 17.3x forecast full-year earnings. KE is keeping its "buy" rating for Ellipsiz, although it expects the company's earnings in the year to next June to be lower than in its last financial year, in the absence of exceptional gains. |

It said its unit SV Probe has established a wholly owned subsidiary, SV Probe (SIP) Co Ltd in Suzhou, China to research and develop, manufacture and service semiconductor testing electronic equipment, testing instruments and relative components. SV Probe was established with registered capital of US$2.1m, of which US$630,000 will be paid in cash and US$1.47m will be spent on machinery and equipment. An initial cash injection of US$315,000, for equity, will be paid by October 11. Ellipsiz said the establishment of SV probe at Suzhou, in eastern China's Jiangsu Province, will be funded by internal sources and is not expected to have a material impact on the parent company's net tangible assets or earnings per share for the year to June 2007. |

Ellipsiz which makes tools for the semiconductor industry, rose to a 3-1/2-month high of $0.64 after the firm said its full-year net profit had nearly tripled, beating analysts' expectations. The company said on Tuesday that its net profit had leapt 145% in the 2006 financial year, from a year ago. "Ellipsiz reported FY06 earnings that bettered our expectations due to stronger than expected contributions from the wafer probe card business," DBS Vickers analyst Don See said in a client note on Wednesday. See reiterated his "buy" call and raised his 12-month price target for the firm to $1.10. Ellipsiz was trading at 6.6x its 2007 forecast earnings, compared to an average of 13.8x for its local peers, according to Reuters Estimates. Phillip Securities also maintained its "buy" call for Ellipsiz on Wednesday and issued a revised fair value of $0.97. |

Extracted from my blog http://kelongstocks.blogspot.com Please support my blog if you find the writeup informative :) Fundamental and Technical Analysis (Update) Ellipsiz saw a resolution from a flag and pennant like formation on 13 Apr 06 but this was not accompanied by heavy volumes and price just inched above the resistance line. Price appreciated for a couple more days to 67.5 cents before falling back to the support line. Resistances: $0.655 (resistance in Feb and Mar 06), $0.675 (recent resistance), $0.70 (psychological resistance, $0.72 (52-week high) Supports: $0.63 (resistance turned support), $0.60 (EMA 50), $0.56 (support during pennant formation) Indicators: Neutral (RSI and Stochastics all hovering just below overbought zone, Stochastics fast line has cut down below slow line), MACD hovering just above 0 for past few trading sessions. Fundamentally, Ellipsiz has been buying up the remaining minority interests in its subsidiaries as well as acquiring wafer test assets of Kulicke & Soffa industries. This will have the effect of boosting its EPS and lower its P/E ratios accordingly. ..........continued at my blog |
