DBS V predicted this one 12 mth's target price is $4.33. Buy call was at $2.66 and now is already trading at $3.78.. | ||

Ion is much more convenient than paragon , Ion also has an exclusive partnership with singapore tourists promotion board which offers a full range of specialised services at the Singapore visitors centre located at level 1. This convenient the tourists. but, in time to come, its rental will shoot up and cld be much more expensive than paragon...... Paragon needs an extreme 'make-over'....not a hot spot for shoppers.

Ppty market slumps, correspondently rental would be adjusted lower. Yah, shifting office mainly due to rental cost, some owing getting bigger space, location could be the consideration as well. Phensui ah, only few souls will do that loh. FY08 div pay out in Dec, hope its current price can hold till then. |

I understand from the latest FY08 report that the Paragon occupancy rate is still 100%. Yes, there're tenants leaving but others are filling in fast as it's converting to cater for medical suits. As expected, market has become defensive again thus, no surprise for this one to outperform. Vested. |

With the rising rental imposing on tenants ... one by one will be moving out of Paragon ... unless deep pocket tenant can stay back .... but some time deep pocket tenant will negotiate for a better price .... Look ,, SIA moves to ION ... from Paragon .... that means that ION may be offerring a better deal than Paragon ... considering SIA ways of cutting cost to deliver its bottom line ... |

Based on the quarter closed in Aug 08... Insider more or less know the results ..... and the expected dividend.... . If one had invested at 3.98 ... current price represents a gain of 20 cents ... which is quite good for SPH considering other stocks were corrected more than 20 percents .... (For properties play).. And now SPH is a defensive play instead of properties play ..... : )

3QTR turnover, 77.3% newspaper & magazine, 19.3% ppty n 3.4% others. 3QTR eaarnings lower despite higher turnover due to lower investment income.$1.3m shr of loss of assocs instead of 3QTR07's $2m shr of profit. However, directors, including uncle Yam, expect the recourring earnings for FY08 to be better than FY07. AK opines that they are rather optimistic as, may be, they discounted the ppty sector. A typical example of KCorp owing to Kland. Last AGM was on 12 Oct 07. Div announcement normally at least a mth ahead of the approval in AGM/EOGM. 1H08 div was 8 cts. Higest div payout since 31 Aug 04 is 41.25cts in FY04. 05-28.18 cts, 06-24cts, 07-19cts(1H 7cts) , FY08????Guess 10-15 cts.(presumes discounted $ used to procure the longest high tech printing machine lately) |

$4.20 hit this morning...more to come? Market like this make people lost faith and heart, but pls dun lose your soul! You still need it to buy and hold onto good shares like this one for value investing...hold your breath for good times to come.

Good share to keep in this kind of volatile time. But remember it is an heavy elephant. Perhaps put some into growth stock is a good idea as well, just in case a strong rally comes and you might miss the boat. | ||

Hoho! One of its director YongPH and wife have bought a combine stake of 600k shares from open market at ~$4.02 yesterday.......this should keep support above the $4.00 range for the time being with further price gain should market conditions improve. Cheers! | ||

The trading price has been kept steadily recently at $4, seems like a strong support for this elephant.  4Q08 will end this month and FY result announcement is due by mid Oct 08 which mean another good divd is coming!!! I see share price to gain some strength in the coming session perhaps to $4.20. Cheers! |
