Was RichTan, I remember his nick. He was really very attached to this stock, but alas the market played him out with the BBs pressing down from $1.00 over to today's 31 cents. Pathetic BBs shortists, got no heart for " poor" investors.

Wow the way they trapped pple---one moment gd next moment lost in earnings...typical os S chips matter of time go below 30cts and difficult to go bk to his hey days of $1...there was a guy here actively promoting this stock previously when the counter kept announcing won contracts but its price remain range struck 85cts -$1.02,was lucky to escape at about 98cts. Was at Capital land AGM at Westin when many investors also attend the AGM of Midas next door...many remain stuck at high level and hence waiting to sell

I think it already sell into strength. Q1 profit is expected base on last year incidents that Q1 profit lost is quite expected for many because of the train clash last year + now the economics from euro like back to square 1. 2 main factors to consider --- Will china lead the economics from Q2 onwards? --- Will china government focus on infrastructure Vested some. |

STOCKS NEWS SINGAPORE-Midas falls on Q1 profit warning Reuters – 4 hours ago Shares of Midas Holdings, which supplies aluminium components to trains in China, shed as much as 8.5 percent after the company forecast a significant drop in quarterly net profit. Midas shares fell to S$0.325, the lowest since end-December. The company said the expected profit fall in its first-quarter was mainly due to lower revenue, higher operating expenses and finance costs, as well as share of losses from an associated firm, Nanjing SR Puzhen Rail Transport Co Ltd. OCBC Investment Research forecast Midas' first-quarter revenue to fall 31 percent and net profit to drop 47 percent from a year ago, given the challenging conditions in China's railway sector. Midas...JV Co NANJING SR PUZHEN Rail Transport secures RMB526.9 million metro contract, to supply 115 train cars for the Suzhou Metro Line 2 Project - Delivery from 2013 to 2014. Midas holds a 32.5% stake in the JV, so its share of the revenue is RMB171 m. Divided by 2 years = rmb86 m. This adds about 8-9% to its topline in each year (assuming the rmb 1 billion in revenue in FY2011 and FY2010). |

If U like to vest or speculate on short term for immediate win and or err...a loss. UPP, IPC, Yoma, Artivision, Fragrance and many others....A safer bet is STXsov...thou pice had gone up. Pls do ur sum and homework n don listen to everone, I am just as human - can be wrong.
