or they could have cleared the position long ago as it doesn't performed. it down from 1.80+ from last year also around Mar/Apr till below $1 and see-saw just above $1 for few months. Then below $1 again. At least I am lucky trading a few rounds with profit during see-saw period. |

Wow .... Cheap can indeed be CHEAPER at today's closing price of 0.92! Volume has been low for past two weeks after its poor quarterly earning. Meaning: The BBs still holding now .... for now. Or for what? Personally, I have faith in this counter (guts feeling) due to its wireless biz, but I may be wrong. I am hoping for a Q3 '07 chiong! Will collect more on current dip. Trade with care ya .... |

Singapore's electronics output posted its first decline in five years as Seagate Technology, the world's biggest computer disk-drive maker, cut jobs in the city-state after buying its largest rival, the government said. Singapore's electronics production fell 3.8 percent to S$76 billion ($50 billion) in 2006 from S$79 billion a year earlier, the Economic Development Board said today. The industry employed 95,000 people in 2006, and the government agency expects to add 4,500 jobs annually for the next three to four years. The decline in electronics output is a setback for Singapore's target to double its manufacturing output to S$300 billion in 15 years. Electronics makes up more than a quarter of the city-state's manufacturing, and Singapore makes about 30 percent of the world's disk drives, used to store computer data. ``Electronics output should be better this year as we haven't heard any more announcements of disk-drive makers relocating production from Singapore,'' said David Cohen, an economist at Action Economics in Singapore. ``The continued expansion of the world economy is supporting demand for electronics products.'' Cohen expects the city-state's electronics output to rise 5 percent in 2007. |

The revenue is down because of a change in business model (aka an accounting change). May also want to note that they also changed their accounting treatment of depreciation that makes profit this year better than under the old treatment. Also true that they lost a major customer when customer got swallowed by Seagate. Gearing is also rising. Against all that, the price has come down a lot. There is a theory in Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham of the "fallen angel". I am vested and accumulating more slowly. Strictly from an FA perspective only. |

Not only their revenue is down, their cash flow is reduced too. They lost one of their BIG client. Looks like currently investors lost confidence in this counter. Think they will pick up once they find some big clients again. |
