Any China property player here? Cuz from this piece of news I see 2 sides of a coin... 1> Property related companies are doing under expectations now... 2> Help is on the way... but annouced on 7/7 so this means still some time before it happens... O'Games in coming August? Sry abt this wild comment here as China seems to have the tendency to hold info and let go one shot one... like their SARS ... Anyone with some China background comment? |

Government to help real estate developers
China’s government is likely to take measures to ease property developers' funding difficulties caused by loan curbs and falling sales, the Economic Observer reported, citing a person it didn't identify. The People's Bank of China, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and other ministries held consultations on stabilizing the property market, the Chinese-language newspaper cited the unidentified person as saying in its yesterday's edition, according to a Bloomberg News report. A decline in property prices will erode demand and disrupt economic growth, the newspaper said, citing a National Development and Reform Commission report. Housing sales in China dipped 0.4 percent from a year earlier to 136.6 million square meters in the first four months, the NDRC report said, according to the newspaper published from Beijing. Home prices in 70 major cities nationwide increased 9.2 percent in May from a year earlier, the slowest pace in eight months. |

Spot on! raise back to .12! But .12 is a VERY strong resistance... too many locusts... Is this counter good for shorting? Looks tempting for shorting... sry to those who long it... somehow it looks like it still not time yet... Anyone any comments? |

Sry forget to add, in case it give those vested in this a wrong impression, 0.105 is a nice ground (READ fairly ok~ resistance) ... so if it really digged under... Just be mentally prepared for a freefall bungee jump ... >:{O |

Looks like it may bound up a little... However, the chart reflected a very strong negative sentiment... today's one way down means that there are tons and TONS of locusts (shortists) preying on any bits of flesh they can find... Same thing as reflected on 18th June and 26th June... too many of them... this stock is on its way to rock bottom (and maybe even dig underground) under 0.1 in some time ahead... BUT this is a China stock... and as the WHOLE string of China stocks... they are "resting" "COLLECTING" energy for a raise ... and it will be a WhooLa thing when it happens ~ so it is ok to get blood sucked by the irritating mosquitoes for now... only for now... 8^) |

Overall market sentiment is bad, and therefore the fall in most counters. Any further bad news from any source will worsen that particular counter mentioned in the bad news. You are your best judge in terms of investment. |

How you guys think abt this movement for ChinaNTown? It rebounded slightly ytd from .105 to .12 on 7th July But the bad news released from Bloomberg on 8th July seems to held it down... Any view on this one? |

i dun noe,,,,,i say may only,,,,,,,because the vol is hgt and price all the way down,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,a lot of them heavy lost,,,can u imagine from 70cts+ until now 11.5cts,,,,,,,,,,,,,if not wrong the story repeat again,,,,,so must be careful and dun try to catch the bottom,,,,,,,,, | ||||

It's still alive. Finally see some buying interests on this stock. Expect the stock has a nice bounce after the sales of the land in China (a definite good news to the company). |

You are right. We are all concern with CAO type of exposure. I suppose each need to do their own assessment and place their investment according to their personality and risk appetite. Based on their Q1 results, NTA is RMB 3.308 and EPS RMB 0.0757. Looking at their earlier losses for Y07, this is due to the inherent development cycle for a property development company. ie, they have to spend money to clear land, resettle existing owners, loan interest payment etc beside overheads. Their revenue income and profits will be realised when they list the land for sale. In layman terms, the more they spend, the more they should be able the get the land ready for sale, the more will be the revenue and profit.. Do note that they are selling township lands and not houses or apartments. So it's a different level of property development company. To say their business model and connection is very rewarding is an understatement i think. |
