Starhub is expected to make hell lots of money becoz all their staff like dead, shortage of manpower, less salary payout,call ther HOTLINE for hrs,wait...wait...wait ...press 1 press 2, what the hack!! nobody answer , send email , make days to reply or no reply !!! Remember if u support them too much, their business good, SERVICE down !!!! if call them and someone answer at once is like striking 4D !!!!! | |||||

The sustainability of dividends depends alot on how well they do in second half. Traditionally they earn less in the second half. my analysis here The management have reiterate that they will pay out 20 cent dividend this year. Is it sustainable? This 20 cent will translate to 340 mil in dividend payout. Should Operation Results stay the same Estimated Full Year Operating Cash Flow = 323 mil * 2 = 646 mil Estimated Capex = 45 mil * 2 = 90 mil. Estimated Free Cashflow is 646 – 90 mil =556 mil Estimated dividend payout is 340 mil. Thus based on the example here 20 ct dividend is still sustainable. However, I expect operating cashflow is likely to be lower, cost higher and the job. However, a more conservative pay out will have to be 300 mil or 18 cents dividend. I will continue to hold this stock and will monitor to see if costs starts escalating out of control. The key for Starhub is to protect market share and reduce expenses. |

I read that 5 cts dividends per qtr isn't sustainable in the medium to long term unless its profit margin can improve significantly. Can u imagine the cpy paying out 20cts p.a. as divds while its eps is only ~18cts? | |||||

Today is a Good Day to Buy StarHub. 1. Price above MA30, In Bull Territory. 2. MACD Lines crossing and moving upward. 3. Stochastic at 42% and moving up. 4. RSI at 54%, also in Bull Territory. 5. 2Q Result on 5 Aug 2010. Due to recent World Cup case, I don't expect great earnings, but do expect reasonable profit. 6. YoY Revenue, Profit and Cash Flow increases, but QoQ Profit decreases. 7. Technically on an Uptrend channel, with potential high of $2.42. 8. Support Level at $2.31 and Resistance Level at $2.37. Yeah... but it dropped to this level is due to, people start to think it can't sustain to pay out same div anymore... due to the EPL rights.... losing market share + cost of iphone....
