rogue_trader : I had signed up 3 months back . my average usage per month is slightly below 3GB or 3000MB : .. checking emails, SJ, poems , reading up on TA etc. I maybe using 3 hrs in the day and 3 hrs at night (on off on off ) so far had not download any heavy stuff like movies which they say downloading 2 movies will use up 5GB . therefore I am within the 5GB limit. just wishing if the unused portion could be rolled over . about speed : i don't see any need for speed as mostly I am reading the stuff ,therefore its ok . hope this helps for u to guage your needs |

Hi j3r0m3, Typically, taking an express train ride for the intercity is around 1.5hrs. Say, from Florence to Pisa, the ride is about 60min. 1 - 2 trains depart hourly. Recess time now. Come back then share with u again... |

J, wow looks like you won't have space in your luggage for anything else liao. Pity your wife, go to europe and cannot shop because of insufficient luggage space. Poor thing. Never mind, just pacify her with a LV bag in paris shop. LV bag there costs about 30-40% cheaper than in Singapore. You need to bring along passport as they do passport check b4 allowing you into the shop. And there's a limit on the qty, something like 3-5 pcs only. LV bags do not take up much luggage space. synnexo, I believe it must be a very wonderful trip. Spain is my favourite european country for holiday. And I miss Port wine from Portugal alot! |

RT, All plans has a capped of 5GB data. Exceed need to pay extra loh. But then, if at hotspot just switch over. But bear in mind those hotspots are using unsecured network. Try not to perform anything sensitive in these places. Can't use this plan to download stuff. Sure burst the 5GB. For me, I use it with my laptop to monitor the market. Good to have as sometimes I need will be out of office. Normal usage should not be more than 3GB per month. |

j, really. Are you subject to tax? Do you have to declare when you are at the custom? Think need to declare and pay tax.. a few dollars per bottle. The last time I checked. However, It's is still worthwhile. Make sure they are checked in luggage as you know the europeans, esp UK, your last stop, are very nervy about pax bringing liquid/liquor on board. |

Hi j3r0m3, 16 days in Europe visiting these places may be a little tight. Timing will be very important to u. I just got back from Europe last week. Was there for about 3 weeks, in Portugal, Spain & Italy. Taking plane in between countries & train in Italy. How are u traveling between countries? |

Hi Fairygal, RT is right about the lowest price plan from M1 broadband. I just got the plan last week. Decent download speed of up to 384kbps. However, unable to reach that speed. Average speed is around 150kbps. Free data is capped at 5GB, thereafter charges is at S$4/GB. Maximum charges is capped at S$40.00/10GB. One thing to be extra careful is to make sure u don't lose the gadget. It cost S$350.00. Any replacement parts, including the USB cables, cost S$20.00. What u need to pay upfront is S$26.50 for the SIM card. To ensure no one is able to use your gadget without your knowledge, enable the SIM card lock. So, before any connections u are require to unlock it. U can just sign up at any M1 Shops & authorised dealers. Oops...do I sound like a rep from M1? Hehe... |

be careful not to bring too many bottles back... sneaking 2-3 bottles is quite alright but not squeezing 10 bottles in your suitcase. U know the trouble when you are randoming picked to open your luggage at Changi. Wine: to sample, just buy it at minimart, supermarket wherever you are... a few euro per bottle. Choose regional wine as they tend to be cheaper. Drink it in hotel at night and perhaps 'make in Europe' dingy. Have a good trip. Come back and share wonderful pictures with us! |

alamak.. Master WIND.. actually you are right in the sense that made in Europe easier to maintain becos garmen pays alot for the child maintenance.. not like here... all other things if you have to pay, it is very very expensive...as AIR would find out soon.... it would be impossible say for AIR to get a cuppa coffee for less than S$2.00. In fact most would charge above 2euros or about S$4. dear Jerome... if you are sampling wine then there is even more variety in Europe.. every region is absolutely different.. |
