CM could have easily used one of her offshore companies to borrow US$150 million from offshore banks to pay up the bondholders while hedging the debt against her internal cash. Most banks will happily do it since it is relatively risk-free and good way to earn some income. | ||||

Sad to say that it may go into suspension like Sino-Env without resuming trading. Let's hope this will not happen.

Hi, Sounds like a right thing to do. But like Chinamilk's balance sheet, it looks like they have enough cash to pay off. But things still turn sour. sigh

let's be realistic, I am sad to say, this is not a good news... so, the market will decide where the price should go... well, remember sino-environment up from 5 cents to 12 cents before it suspends.. if you can catch those "knee jerK".. that's the best. not vested. |

Yeah, among the worst news possible is a default on payments. Since transferring funds out of China is a problem, looks like fund raising is needed to stave off a lawsuit. All the best to those vested.
