 Alert Admin 		I did mention on 18 Feb 2010 that mermaid may have completed its rebounce n downtrend may resume . And also mentioned about the support should be at 57 cents eventually .

Very weak support is  at 78 cents , breaking the support would only find another support at 71 cents . Finally the only support to this uptrend would be at 57 cents which is below the right-issue price at 64 cents .

This one fall fast, but when recover also spring up fast as well. Look at its past record u will know.

Current situation it faces is similar to the majority of the stock (all moving down).

When buy stock, one of my preference will be the stock can progress up fast as well.And of course FA stand importantly to me as well.

N talk about FA, Mermaid looks pretty alright also.

Anyway, hope Euro provide a solution asap to the debts issue, n Mermaid begins it swim back UP.

During the last two years, China has expanded their oil and gas reserves over and over again.

From Iran to Canada, there is no place that China considers off-limits:

  • May 18, 2010: CNPC, China's largest oil firm, acquires a 35% stake in Syria oil from Shell.

  • April, 2010: China spends $5 billion stake in the Canadian oil sands. The purchase gives the Chinese a 9% share in Syncrude Canada.

  • May, 2010: China closes a deal to develop the Missan oil fields in Southern Iraq. Current production from the Missan field is 100,000 barrels per day.

  • September, 2009: China invests $16 billion barrels on oil exploration in Venezuela.

  • Today, PetroChina just announced plans to invest $60 billion in overseas oil and gas output, hoping to add about 4 million barrels a day to current production.

The list goes on ...

my fibochart said 0.50 should be great support :) if break down this level...then dunno lei...i dunt have this stock...

very sad seeing this stock climbing almost 0.86 then just in days has down almost half price...

every day got discount...i think support will be around 0.50 maybe...hmmph...

 Alert Admin 		Recently went in for Mermaid at 0.675 but decided to cut loss at 0.65 because what I observed was there isn't any buying support at that area. Reason why I bought was Peak bottom on 9 Feb 2010 was 0.65 to 0.67. If there is buying support, the stock will move to another uptrend which there isn't any support for this. So, Since this is broken and move towards 0.57 today...If it broke 0.55, it will go down lower with another price level support. If it stays with buying interest on that price range, this stock will be rebounded from there for a mini-Ewave. Star-Trader

Mermaid suddenly gapped up strongly to reach 84 cents on 21 April 2010 , but unfortunately it formed  a bearish engulfing candle the next day to stop the uptrend n came down rapidly . It not only filled the gap created on 21 April 2010  at 73 cents , but also broke new low to reach 59.5 cents today . Technically , mermaid could go down to 44 cents because in this downtrend movement , the bearish rising wedge has already formed

Mermaid fell below its 200MA since Feb2010 , it tried very hard to rebound from the low at 63 cents in order to fill the falling gap at 70.5 cents . It did fill the gap already , but still did not have the momemtum to cross the 200MA . It is now forming the bottom while its medium n long term moving averages are above its share price . To reverse the trend may have to take some time

If the company is sound, just lock it. The slide is due to market sediments. Those who do not have holding power....... will eventually cut loss and lose in the market.Smiley
