Dear all, hold yr horses if you are having Rotary shares. The Edge dated 4 Dec gave a very good report on Rotary. As mentioned in Edge, Chia, chairman and managing director of Rotary stated that "They wanted to "handcuff" us immediately". "They" are not law enforcers but Reps of Middle Eastern cos who he met on the trip. Pl buy. Good Harvesting !!! |

What I observed about Bollinger Bands through reading numerous charts is this interesting thing - when the bands get tight, this means that sharp price change is about to occur. At this point in time, the share price will likely be quite slow moving over the last few days. This causes the Acc/Dist and Chaikin to be not too impressive. But if you can spot a slight uptrending of Acc/Dist, Chaikin and RSI together with the tight bands, I would read it as possible sharp upward price movement in the near future. For this stock, I would say lets wait a couple more days for trend to clear. But this one has some good potential. |

singaporegal, what are the chart characteristics that indicates your recent post. Is it the Chaikin share uptrend from a low base and the Bollinger getting squeezed? Cos the Acc/Dis and RSI, whilst shows a slight uptrend, is not too impressive. If so, then do you place a greater emphasis on the Chakin and Bollinger? From my little knowledge of TA, I find the Chaikin an earlier leading indicator than Acc/Dist and RSI. |

It rose as high as $0.735, its highest level in nearly three years, after a local stockbroker comment raised investors' hopes of a possible upgrade of the stock. "A future re-rating of Rotary is possible, if it can up the ante by securing combined bread-and-butter engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) deals worth over $300 million per annum," OCBC Investment Research analyst Chong Wee Lee said in a research note on Friday. Chong expects Rotary's net profit to more than quadruple to $38 million in 2006, on revenue of $549 million. |

Hi Maxtwl, It's really so sad to hear that you bought at the top amid all the positve ambience and then lost your money. If you are new to the stock market, you will be slaugthered, not by the market (even though it is obviously a merciless animal), but by your enthusiasm to make money. What you should do now is to become knowledgeable about the animal of the market and it's intricacies before you buy any stock. If you still do so in spite of my advice, then it's very sad. For you to lose is actually a valuable lesson. If you win before understanding the intricacies of the marketplace, then it is definitely not good for you further down the road. |

sigh.... So Sad... I bought rather pricely last Thursday 0.72. So yesterday was the last day to sell off, making a lost. Today suddenly just bounce back. Once Bitten Twice Shy already man. Anyway the annoucement will be comming out soon already right from Rotary themselves? OCBC just did an analysis on them, thats y today volume and price jump right? thanks ppl |
