teeth53 thot: Japan  had their lesson learned  by rising their YEN. China did not...for Germany (1 hr ago). Germany names deputy finance minister to join ECB Chancellor Angela Merkel's spokesman, said Tuesday. Joerg Asmussen had been formally nominated for the post. Asmussen's name had already been mentioned as a possible replacement. Asmussen has been a key official in the eurozone's fight against the debt crisis. (AP) |

They are aware of the problem and they know its very serious now. They definately want to do something about it, but the question is not that whether do they want to take action, but rather what can they do. The problem had been around far too long, its not something that can be solved overnight, and yet if they dont pacify the people now, their countries will go into revolution. So the only solution is to drag for time by pumping in more money, they dont call it QE, they just simply do it in another way. They can bailout greece, but in a few months time, this problem will come back to haunt them. And for Italy, it was staying low profile with greece tanking the front. Everyone was saying if greece default, the rest will be affected by contagion. However, Italy itself is facing similar problem, so to me even if greece was not in this issue, Italy still faces this crisis. The only hope they can have is to drag as long as possible while keeping the people contented and hopeful, giving all these countries some time to rush out some changes. Its a very logical plan for now, but the downside is if the plan failed, the market will slump even harder and their credibility will be flush down the drain. So as I always said, trade carefully and good luck.

There looks to be some more juice for this bounce up for me. I am looking at 1208 to 1220 on the SPX before it loses momentum and possibly heads down again.  :p  |

teeth53: Is this just empty talk or they are in deed doing, going to act on it?. Still Germany the best. “They recognize they have deep problems (debt)  and they recognize they need to do something about it. And now they are going back and will try to do something about it." This was a very important wake-up call for Europe.” Euro-region finance chiefs committed at a gathering of the Group of 20 in Washington on Sept. 22 to boost the flexibility of their rescue fund and “maximize its impact” by the time of the next G-20 conclave. Euro-area finance ministers meet Oct. 3. European Central Bank officials have indicated they will consider expanding liquidity provisions when they meet Oct. 6. |

A good warning to those who think they can make money from the market. Always protect your money when the trade is against you. Good luck.  ![]()

Today STI's component big winner is Jardine C& C. I dun't think many retailer will be buying into this one to jack up the price.
