For traders who have margin accounts and playing shorts,might lead to the first wave of short sellers having to buy back.this might pretty effect a larger rally as short selling is highest since 5 years alot of naked selling OUr PE valuations remain really competitive regardless    But i am getting whatever stocks that could make profit out first tmr. as i expect a correction of the dow on the day itself. will stay on sidelines and enter in at lower prices : )

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	read online that generally, stocks and bonds go in opposite directions. today the US bond market is closed, could be that BBs who are flush with cash are putting it into equities for a run-up trap.  volume so far (and during this run-up) below average. earnings season is starting, usually there's a run-up, especially since markets have been oversold and this round earnings look to beat the downgraded estimates.  What may turn the market lower immediately would be poor profit expectations/warnings going forward. to noobs (especially including me), the masters here make their calls (many thanks), can follow, but must react quickly to take profits or cut loss.  ronald constantly reminds us of this and it's a very important point to remember. medih also gives considered advice.  best to follow your own trading strategy.  and decode ipunter's great musings. must also understand how/where  USD index is going.  is key. as an aside, there's a species of piranha which does not kill its prey, but nibbles on the fins and tails of other fish so that the fish live to be eaten another day.  we must be like this piranha, take bits out of the market and don't be greedy.  otherwise no food left to makan, too shack/beaten to look for more, confirm die another day. hope everyone comes out of this volatile period with smiles.  best not to hold open positions overnight unless can hedge.  good luck! p/s: thank goodness hedged my shorts with call options today, otherwise sure feel quite isolated.

I make so much profits :)" .... actually, i can also be expert liao.... now i'll keep saying " short the market now!" .... when market drops, i'll say " haha, profits!!!" ..... when market surges, i'll say " short more, now juicy peak!!!" .... so easy to be expert :)

So a rally for them to pump in their money is normal.. Be patient.. The overall trend is still downwards.. You can try your luck to long these few days.. Hopefully you have covered back some of your previous losses.. That's trading.. That's gambling.. Same same lah.. lol...
