BEST WORLD, daiwa maintain OUTPERFORM with target price $1.15 -Best WorldInternational (Best World) announced 2H07 results on 29 February 2008, after the market closed, that were in line with our expectations in almost every aspect. The company will be holding an analyst briefing on 3 March 2008, after which we may issue an update. We have a 2 (Outperform) rating on the stock and DCF-based sixmonth target price of S$1.15. - Best World recorded a 4.7% YoY rise in net profit for 2H07 (down 4.3% HoH) on a 32.4% YoY increase in revenue (up 19.3% HoH). Operating profit kept pace with revenue as operating margins were relatively stable, but higher taxes and financial expenses squeezed net margins. We believe the results would have been better had the delivery of goods worth S$4.3m in revenue and S$0.3m in net profit not been delayed at the end of 2007. All these goods were delivered by 31 January 2008. - For FY07, revenue from Indonesia more than doubled (up 161.8% YoY), while Singapore and Malaysia-based revenue fell by 18.0% YoY and 19.9% YoY, respectively, due to the maturity of the latter two?s direct-selling markets, in our view. - Management?s guidance was positive on net margins, with positive reassurance on the product-shipment delays at the end of the 2007. Furthermore, management guided that ?[b]arring unforeseen circumstances, the Group expects to achieve better sales and net profits for FY2008 compared to FY2007′. - We believe the key risks for the stock are the continuation of intense competition in the Malaysian and Singaporean sales markets and any delays in new products. |
