Hi rickytan Taken profit so fast. Any reason. Feel that it will drop below 2l.5cts, based on TA or FA or what? Or exiting the counter? |

Hi chinkiasu Tks, still vested in GV since most SJ participants spoke "highly" of GV coz of mgt's road shows and Ng Jui Peng's encouraging foreward to its investors. It will hit 30cts and beyond- matter of time. It's always easier for a stock to move up from a base price, then for it to move up from a "toppish" one. |

Hi stock_newbie, ABN AMRO, London Branch has continued to increase its stake to 8.1713%. It's consolidating in a tight range now. I think it could surge. Current support around $0.165. Vested. Good luck! |

The difference between price and value is what the investor should look for. The prudent investor will always weigh the benefits of investing versus the risks of making a loss. This risk assessment is done after the investor peruses through all relevant information concerning the company and industry, as well as calculating the future potential of the business and computing an intrinsic enterprise value for the company. While this may be subjective, at least it affords you some measure of comfort in that you have done adequate research and risk analysis to confirm a BUY. Make sure you leave a margin of safety for yourself in case you do go wrong. GV is building its business slowly but surely. Whether it will return to profitability is anyone's guess. The more pressing issues will be how it intends to build its business and recycle cash back to be used. I am not sure that Management should be so obsessed with the share price as it merely reflects what Mr. Market is willing to pay for at any point in time. The reason I think they mention share price is because they are planning a listing, some people o SI forum say in Germany perhaps ? Nothing is certain yet. Also, they have introduced a cushion in case the share price falls too badly: a share buy-back scheme. This is contingent upon the fact that they have enough cash to buy back shares AND pay back the interest on the CB which they issued. I will stay vested till the next results announcement in August 2007. I have seen 5 contracts won within 2 months (March and April). Let's hope to see more in the months to come ! |

hikitty, pointless for u to grumble abt management. And it's misguided notion that the management (accused of being NATO by you) can ramp up the stock price. the key thing for us investors is: is the stock undervalued, and is the business going to be good and get better? simple as that! there's no bell that sounds when we decide that yes, the stock is a buy. u just buy - and the market sooner or later will come ard to agree, so long as the profitability keeps going up. many counters were undiscovered for a while and then they start a beautiful climb. Look at Second Chance. Another fave: Lantrovision. yet another example: AusGroup. |

Pointless for the mgt to brag abt the potentials of GV shares at road shows when the shares remain in a "ding dong" phase. A case of "NATO" (No Action, Talk Only). The analysts are very wary abt "empty promises - a classic example of "Empty vessel makes the most sound. " and NATO (No Action, Talk Only) ? |

In my own opinions, I think the "penny surge" stage is coming to an end soon. Might rotate to 1st or 2nd tier counters or correction. If I will to enter, I will wait for the "Selling May" or correction to pick up the "true value" of this counter. |

Hi Zhuge_liang & Victorian & others, currently this counter @ 18cents, is it still okay to enter into position? Been following this & related threads about GV, hope to earn some kopi $ should its value really shoot up upon increased roadshows & investors or even BBs coverage... Thanks for advise in advance!!! |

Hi there, This is musicwhiz from SI forum. Focusy, just wonder why you decided to copy and paste my posting from SI forum into SJ forum ? I think there are others there who did a much better review on GV haha. Anyway, please note that the company does NOT report quarterly results, but only reports half-yearly. So those who keep talking about quarterly results are obviously not familiar with the company. Do a little more reading up, their half-year results are usually released in late August (about 2 months after half-year end). Cheers and good luck to all ! |

Excerpt from non-exec chairman's letter to shareholders
Read excerpt below with highlights from me where there is a lot of optimism, a lot of signals of a great year to come! I consider the chairman to be a man of great credibility, so I would take those words at face value. In particular, note that he said shareholders will be rewarded for their loyalty. I tell you this is a thinly veiled signal that the company will report a good jump in profits - good enough to drive the stock price up substantially. Stock price now at 18.5 cts potentially could be 100% higher over the near term. Look out for Q1 financial results next month. Just my 2 cts' worth
Lieutenant-General (Retired) Ng Jui Ping: Non-exec chairman 2006 has seen a marked shift in the shareholder base of your Company with increased institutional investment from funds in Singapore, London and New York, such as ABN Amro and Peter Cundhill and Associates. This renewed interest in GVG is driven by a global resurgence of the telecommunications market and an acknowledgement that many telecoms assets, bought out of distress, are now severely undervalued. The Board believes that this investment ethos will continue to gather momentum as the demand for high capacity solutions explodes driven by corporates, carriers and service providers alike. In support of this, the Board and Management are aggressively growing the profile of the Company with investors and analysts, and having already completed an Investor Roadshow in Singapore will now conduct same in Europe and the US during April and May. The telecommunications environment is on the threshold of a major transformation and in 2007 we have already experienced a surge in demand for high capacity, mission critical solutions - all of which can only be delivered on fiber. Our network acquisition differentiates us from all our competitors, enabling GVG with an expansion of fiber assets, network reach and an expansion of our product offerings. This proposition coupled with our lean operating model, an experienced team in situ and a healthy pipeline, positions us for an exciting year in 2007 where we expect to deliver improved returns for our shareholders. I believe that we have shaped the future of GVG over the last 12 months and created a platform from which to position your Company for great success and growth in the coming years. Your Company is now the owner of a network with an original build cost of in excess of billion, and a unique proposition to the customer of a single network provider seamlessly providing communications solutions end-to-end across Europe. I would like to thank you, the shareholders, for the continued support and trust you have placed in your Board. We remain committed to the best practices in corporate governance and will continue to review our corporate governance procedures and policies throughout 2007 to protect the interests of our shareholders. I believe that all our shareholders will be repaid for their loyalty and I look forward to welcoming you all to our |

dear victorian, sorry got to be brief (now not in Singapore): founder of GV was senior tech man of company that laid major optic cables linking cities like Frankfurt, Amsterdam,London, Hamburg, Dublin..etc.. that company overstretch went bust, our hero got a venture capitalist to buy at fire sale price (onetenth real value) then they come to singapore do RTO of horizon... the optic cables are the real assets.. it has a lot of capacity which GV now only leasing about a 10th of it or something like that.. so lots of potential this stock... read their website... |
