Hahaha!! my "fei zhu rou" CHEOOONG AHH! Sembcorp Marine gets $130m contract from Petrobras Reuters Sembcorp Marine (SCMN.SI), the world's second largest offshore oil rig maker, said on Thursday it has secured a $130 million from a unit of Brazilian state-run oil firm Petrobras.

I am glad that you all are now "wake up" on the mistakes done previously :) Analysts -> could be BBs? never know.. Have you ever seen that at one point , the analyst can be SELL, and after that it will be BUY.. For me, it is really confusing.. :) Yes, as I always stretch on these 2 things, patience and greedy.. If you know how to handle these 2 things properly, you probably have won at least half the battle in stock trading, providing with a clear mind on TA which is important and not forgetting FA which is the basic foundation of a stock before you want to trade it using TA. i will actually be quite agreeable to this...we have seen many times the TP from the analysts most of the time can't be reach...we need to set it lower to gain profits ...got earn is better than not earn right? so never be greedy...there are many more times often tt these analysts change their tone almost instantly

whao, when will that be $4.70. I feel that if it appreciate 50cts from it's recent bottom price, it will drop back. the raise recently is from ard$3.76. May be $4.20 is good enough.....just my "feeling"

FY2009 was a record year but contracts secured has dropped to all time low of S$1.25b and backlog falling to FY06 levels. Shiprepair contracts is usually between S$700 to 800m annually. Assuming for FY2010 shiprepair it is S$750m and revenue is S$5b, current backlog will drop to 5,540 + 750 - 5,000 = S$1,290. The future outlook for SCM depends on its ability to secure new contracts in 2010.........and it needs to do so urgently. Just be wary of the euphoria analysts are trying to drum up on this counter.......make your own judgment. Caveat emptor as usual. |

right now Oil is abt $81.6, Dow is likely close Green tonight, SembMar may outperform on monday. I had contra some on yesterday and today with some kopi profit, but still have "cash" holding on SembMarine, probably will take profit when it hit $4.70. Cheers to u had make profit on this "fei zhu rou"!

Aiya, why you sold it so low, the last recent peak was $3.95 and with some forumers said that the market will be good for at least a week, should hold a little longer. Being said that, I also made lots of mistake, sold midas at ard 90cts, now I bought it back at $1.05. Knowing few good stocks recommended recently but short of cash so bot only Midas. After seeing quite a sum of China Essence and Midas's share being bot by fund body, Still choose midas over China Essence as China Essence profit result was not too good and I had been burnt badly by China counters(very fearful now). Sembmarine will appreciate but the capital is so much more than Midas. and I remembered that I made some when Cosco went dual listing in Korea, some how it grew too speculative and I sold it away. Hope it's going to be the same.
