It seems that the penny stocks are starting to get attention again....let's not forget the last 2 weeks when it all started ....when prices dipped so much, and a lot of people got stuck. Whatever tmr brings, be it bull or bear, trade cautiously and within means. |

Lausk22... wodehaopengyou... lai lai lai... wo zai zing ni yi bei... ganbei... :) hahaha... You have a good sense of humour at this time, when many, many are licking and feeling the pain of bear-inflicted wounds ... But I also have a bit of bear scratches... I dumped my fat little pig (Banjoo) and now it's trying to fly again.... |

(for beginners and newbies in stock market)... while talking on cut-loss ....just thought that this story from mahabaratha about arjuna's son abhimanyu could stress the importance of working out fully beforehand the entry and exit strategy before the battle ... its easy to enter ... but the true strenght is on the exit ..to cut loss without emotions ....if things fail.....the great weapon to use when entering using TA .... (apologies for this long post .... but then its a good story .... of course , there are many other contributing factors to the defeat but the essence is there .... hahaha !) -------------------------------------------------------- As an unborn child in his mother's womb, Abhimanyu learns the knowledge of entering the deadly and virtually impenetrable CHAKRAVYUHA from Arjuna. The epic explains that he overheard Arjuna talking about this with his mother from the womb. Arjuna spoke only about entering Chakravyuha and didn't explain coming out of it when he saw Subhadhra sleeping. So Abhimanyu could not come out of the Chakravyuha and he got trapped. ABHIMANYU'S DEATH- On the 13th day of battle, the Kauravas challenge the Pandavas to break a circular battle formation known as the Chakravyuha. The Pandavas accept the challenge since they know that the knowledge of how to defeat such a formation is known to Krishna and Arjuna. However, on that day, Krishna and Arjuna are dragged into fighting a war on another front with the Samsaptakas. Since the Pandavas have accepted the challenge already, they have no choice but to attempt to use young lad Abhimanyu, who has knowledge on how to break into the formation but none whatsoever regarding how to break out of it. To make sure that Abhimanyu does not get trapped in this endeavour, the remaining Pandava brothers decide that they and their allies will also break into the formation along with Abhimanyu and assist the boy in breaking out of it. It is important to note that the plan is hatched well after Arjuna and Krishna have been distracted away by the Samsaptaka army led by Susarma. On the fateful day, Abhimanyu uses his skills to successfully break into the formation. The Pandava brothers and allies attempt to follow him inside the formation, but they are effectively cut off by Jayadratha, the Sindhu king, who makes use of a boon from Shiva to hold off all Pandavas except Arjuna. Abhimanyu is left to fend for himself against the entire Kaurava army. Abhimanyu fights valiantly single-handedly slaying several warriors who come his way including Duryodhana's son Laxman. Upon witnessing the death of his beloved son, Duryodhana is incensed and orders the entire Kaurava force to attack Abhimanyu. Continually frustrated in attempts to pierce Abhimanyu's armor, Karna on Dronacharya's advice shatters Abhimanyu's bow firing arrows from behind him. Thus disabled, his chariot breaks down shortly later, the charioteer and horses are killed, and all his weapons are laid to waste. He attempts then to fight off the bow wielding warriors sitting on horses, elephants at the same time with a sword and a chariot wheel as a shield. Dushasana's son engages in fierce hand to hand combat with Abhimanyu. Ignoring all codes of war, the Kauravas all fight simultaneously with him. He holds his own until his sword breaks and the remaining chariot wheel shatters into pieces. Abhimanyu gets killed shortly thereafter when Dushasana's son crushes his skull with a mace.- http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070522062843AAwRE1e |

The art of cutting loss should not be used very often. If it is being used very often than you are more of a trader than a investor. Of cuz ppl may argue all same play stocks to earn monies so no difference in the name tag given correct? It is correct in the simplest form i.e make monies. But the mindset and strategy adopted between a trader and investor is quite different. Trader usually are in for quick profits and some pull out all capital when bear comes. Put all in and even borrow monies when bull comes. A serious investor keep himself invested at all times. Usually their holding period is longer also. Afterall if wanna make even faster monies, I would go casino better than play stocks for that adrenalin. My 1 cent opinion :) |

Cashier... my friend... :) That's the way to go, man... I mean it's good that you already bought when it's low low... then when the bear strikes, you are still playing on "foreign capital"... |

Maybe it would be good for Singaporegal to write an article on "cutting loss". Personally, I think the best way to win in the stock market is to master "the art of losing"... It may sound idiotic (averaging down is better?), but paradoxically, this is the way it should be... |

Lausk22... :) , wodehaopengyou ... womenganbeiya... ganbei... hahaha... I always act on my own analysis... but since I can be wrong (anyone can be wrong), I am not the stubborn type ... I play it very strictly... ie. if I am wrong, I always act automatically, and no dilly-dally or have 'pride to save'... |
