1 hour to warm up very good liao leh... somtimes hor, my class take like 3/4 of the day to warm up....all very quiet one.. 1 thing i notice, most of the participants are pretty young in age... i mean the median age is younger! that's a surprise to me man! |

Initially i was concerned of the sitting arrangement. I intend to put it cluster style in groups so that ppl can interact more. But the staff told me it is not possible as other rooms are packed and they can't move the extra tables to other side. So I took back the original classroom style sitting arrangement which can fit in more ppl. Gald that you ppl are spontanous and still able to interact lively. I realise the class actually warm up about 1 hour later. |

ya decipher, actually one thing leads to another... if not for attending your class few weeks back, i never know there is such a nice classroom in springleaf!! that why i choose this room n we are beside you. phew... and it can fit in 50 plus ppl...so wonderful! |

all good hv been said abt the sharing session, so i need no hv to echo. to sum it up: good organising, good presentation and lively interaction from the participants. the results: a very successful gathering. sadly i was not able to with the participants aft the session as hv to rush off to another appointment. but looking forward to the next sharing session.

We are probably aware that the most sought after information is of course whether a stock (or which) will go up so that we can profit from it by 'jumping on the bandwagon'. But in stocks, this is only one side of the coin, since a seasoned and 'expert' trader knows for certain he can be easily wrong in his judgement. |

I am learning too. I use the counters highlighted in here by the forummers and try to understand the reasonings for their choice. I treat this as live tutorial in TA . I use the tips in here for educational purposes . Like Simon Loh said, just like the sparrow nimble a bit every day, in my case, learn bits of information everyday ! The market is aways there. We can go in when we are very confident. For now, I have a long way to go : ) |

iPunter and baseerahmed, Thanks for the words of wisdom. I do agree fully with both of you that one has to learn to stand on own feet and make decisions for oneself and not rely solely on others for help. At the end of the day, it's our own hard earned money, so we have to be reponsible for our own decisions and not anyone else. On the other hand, for inexperienced newcomers, reading some of the posts on the forum from the senior members has been both very enlightening and insightful. Tips are aplenty and i must say i appreciate the generousity of members who dont mind sharing their detailed analysis and their expertise. |

FORTUNEGAL... looking forward to a new session and this time , i believe we will all be more active too and sharing cost is not an issue too, you are talented organiser, maybe you may even organise the same group with a get togather... lunch or dinner? even if it's just 2 table? |

I share the same view as ipunter regarding the learning of TA. It must come from within. I must be self-taught. Has to really put in hard work to get benefit. One might get tips to enter and when things turn ugly the provider of the tips might not be around to direct ur next move. One must remember that we are dealing with real money, approach the market as like dealing with fire, a good servant but bad master. Remeber the graduate who lost 700K ? or the closure of Barings Bank ? |

hi iPunter, yes i agree that the session is more tailored for new beginners like myself. For more 'senior' members like yourself, it will be more appropriate to be one of the trainers/presenters instead. I have attended a seminar once where a group of experts discuss a certain topic. As a participant i found it very informative and enriching. I think it will be very interesting if all the experts at Share Junction can get together and do something like that. However it's easier said than done, as such sessions will be even more difficult to coordinate and require a lot of effort to prepare (esp the presenters). Yes, actually i've noticed that u have mentioned TA is best self taught, but was hoping to try my luck. The thought of ploughing through thick technical books and charts remains a highly dauting task. Would of course greatly appreciate every bit of help to get started! Okay lah, no shortcut never mind! Tips always welcome! :P |
