This is the largest index component stock, thus if STI down ~5% Singtel must contribute......looking at attractive price to enter. |

It could be a good bet but certainly not the safest. In bad times, Cash is King. But if you intend to stay invested, it is best to adjust and re-value your portfolio eaery 6 mhs or so. Learn to sell, when the px is high (even for SingTel). It is never a bad thing to lock-in some profits. Cheerrs! |

I totally agree.... If I have to look for buying any share tomorrow... no doubt it will be SINGTEL.... I consider anything around 3.8 is considered cheap looking at the future prospects of this stock... In these bad times, SINGTEL is the SAFEST bet anytime... |

There are every reasons to stay bullish for Singtel on the long term. Macquarie Research has recommend it as "Defensive with strong earnings prospects and yields" together with SPH & ST Engg. Moreover, its CEO had just bought > 1.1m share from open market bet $3.87-$4.03.

I guess in these volatile times, SINGTEL is the best bet to park your money......This is a solid stock with excellent yoy performance... so avoid other stocks and BUY SINGTEL at whatever price you can get now..... keep it for future.... |

I think Singtel is still pretty solid....it is on the radar of many large telcos in the US & Europe as major competitior |

Be very careful with trades done on Singtel stock. There is a very good reason for its volatility. No doubt it has nice dividends, but it's better to buy somewhere closer to 3.60-3.70. Abt 15c per yr in terms of divvies. TA may not be 'responsive' enough; focus more on its movement range and study its movement vis-a-vis STI. In fact, if the market does recover, Singtel may actually go down instead. For swing traders this is a pretty nice stock to do range play. |
