No i think you got it wrong. HKD0.04 is for the paid up capital of the Company. If you look at the previous alloted 842,125,000 shares, they are also worth HKD0.04 per share. This is purely for the financial numbers in the BS.


If taken literally at HKD0.04 per placement share, the total proceed will amount to less than 1 million SGD, which does not equate to the approximately 20 million SGD mentioned in the announcement.

yea man. im rather disappointed with the placement thing too. I thought it would be a better idea to use money from their hoard of cash for this urgent need (the FIFA distribution networks need to be set up fast). To fund their new factory and other  expansion, they could then apply for a dual listing in hk since these investments would not require large amounts of cash in the very short time. This would be better for shareholders.

 

but still, i guess it would have too big an impact. as Centaur said, a few months back they had rights for 10 cents each but the prices of chinasports shares didnt dip and instead rose a little.
