geojam, i dont think i like to share my experiences here... but for your sake, i can say a bit. to summarize, i still have paper loss in BBR. I went into these counters without the knowledge of TA too. I try contra before 2 yrs back too... win a lot profit, but all lose even more. That why simon said no point if the person do not have foundation, theory n concepts....the person can earn 1 million but all lose back to stock market. Simon do not encourage contra and shorting -> Do not try. My friend try shorting two years back but end up been played out cos there is no buyers near end of the day. she is a newie and when heard ppl earn money from shorting, been ignorance, she join in too. that why simon say for shorting, at most win 100% but you can lose up to 100%, 200% or even much more!! :O only 0.1% in US do shorting. in the class, it was mentioned -> in the stock market, "Be like a sparrow, eat a bit, take some profit and fly off".... Don't be like a pigeon, when market crashed within 1 or 2 day, you are still there. those who had kenna burnt before will understand these words deeply. I lose my profit in Genting back to Starcrust....got in stupidly at high entry... initially I lose a few hundred paper loss and REFUSE to cut loss...the price drop n drop till i can't stand it, and cut loss... few hundred bucks loss become near to 2K loss. what a idoit I am right? now with charts, hopefully i can become less of a idoit... The most silly part I am supporting the Star Cruise business by going on a Star Virgo cruise next week to redang... a mistake made by going Natas Fair...can't resist the temptations there. |

geojam, As 1 of your god daughters once said, with globalisation, you can do things from almost any corners of the world. So it doesn't matter where they fly to. Hmm..... civil servants may even have advanced information on GLCs' acquisitions,,,,,,,, Statschipac?? |

itan888 one is flying here and there,hardly hear from her. The other one is the only civil servant in spore that works 12 hours a day. Do not have time to go toilet,she says. |

Hi All, It really fun and interesting to see that this thread has become more and more interactive and lively ever since after the gathering on 24 Mar 07 at Spring Leaf Tower ( Next to Tanjong Pagar MRT ) ! We even have a New Comer --> an Honor and Rare Guest Mr Decipher ... Welcome you here and join in ! geojam, Patience, patience. Must learn how to walk first before trying to run. There are good opportunities to buy a counter at the right time, but the period of waiting may be long. At the end of the day, it's still patience, patience. |

I am still young at heart , remember I am still a ' kindergarten kid ' mah ! playing with the alphabets blocks : ) Personally, I feel using the terms of endearment must be used in context and be appropriate. I remember an incident at Woodlands Checkpoint when the travellers used the terms "Uncle " and " Auntie" on the immigration officials when they had some explaining do . I found that very amusing and hillarious and I can still remember the funny looks on the officer's faces. It still brings smiles to my face when I think about it.. Hi geojam, Yea, after the 24/3 session, I now have 3 more charts to ponder: RSI, Stochastic and MACD. Previously, I rely only on Candlesticks and DOJI. I believe the combination of all the above may give me a better chance to make good $$, although the picks will become lesser since you will need the counter to satisfy more conditions (those 3 additional charts) simultaneously. Anyway, must give and take a bit lah. Otherwise, might as well keep the money under my pillows and close shop altogether. |
