Hi Singaporegal,
I juz start practising using the indicators not long ago.
You can recognize the candlestick patterns by the formation.
I can?t say whether it works for all people but if you can
recognize the patterns, it can be a indication for yourself.
If you can?t see the formation of the patterns, pass it.
Other than candlestick, lines or bars, you must check the
volume too, as it is as important as the price. With price
raise, without volume, it must be suspected.

Hi Theresa, Thanks! Do candlestick patterns work? Some people swear by it and some people don't believe in it. Have you been using them for a long time? |

Hi Singaporegal,
It is a formation of the pattern from candlestick. But until now, I can only see a flag pole, no flag yet. A continuous flag may show later up later. Must wait and see.

What is a "continuous flag"? Is it a candlestick pattern? |

TA experts out there, please do correct me if I am wrong. I think the continous flag usually represents the first signs of a significant advance or decline and the continous flag is merely a pause. |

From the Ta point of view, can anyone out there spotted the continous flag pole? What does it actually indicate?
Will it be a continuous bull run for a while for this stock, since everyone out there is so bullish abt this stock.
Do you think the stock price will stay up there for awhile?

ASL Marine is currently overbought. However, I see more upside to this counter. One negative point though.... the volume is inconsistent. It only became very liquid only recently. |

This share has been on the rise for the past few days, are the experts able to advice when would be a good time to sell? How do we predict or interpret from TA charts that the time for selling has arrive? Where and how do we see the support level? Appreciate the advice of experts. |

UOBKH said in a client note that with the latest contracts, ASL's total order book value stands at $404m -- of which at least $208m will be recognised in the July-June financial year of 2007.
"ASL's shipbuilding margin should improve as the company is moving up the value chain with its shift to the building of offshore vessels and larger tugs and barges," UOBKH's client note said. The brokerage firm has a "buy" call on ASL's stock, with a $0.86 target price, which is the note said was under review for an upgrade. UOBKH forecasted a 21% jump in ASL's net profit to $28m for the 2007 financial year. |

It has secure new shipbuilding contracts worth $46.5m. The 3 vessels are expected to be completed in 2008. The contracts are not expected to have a material financial impact on NTA and EPS for current FY ending 30 Jun 2007. |

Hi Theresa, KE has a target price of $1.25. This is driving up the price. As I said before, apply your own safety margin. KE maintained its "buy" recommendation on expectations that it will attract more orders. It said that ASL will book $203m from its $358m newbuild orderbook in the year to June 2007, up from $123m in the previous year. It added that the company's penetration of the offshore oil and gas segment will also move the group up the value chain and attract better newbuild margins. "Customer enquiries have been strong ...we believe the firm is poised to attract orders of higher margins," KE analyst Sebastian Heng said in a note. "We believe this could provide a strong share-price catalyst,"he added. KE forecasts ASL Marine to post $31.1m net profit in the year to June 2007. |

Why is there such a high jump in the price for ASL marine. From 0.79 jumps all the way to 0.825 and now to 0.86 ? The Company has already closed the book and reports the earning and also the dividends.
Although it is the lowest among some of the Company dealing with oil, repairing & services, can anyone tell me is there is a potential in the price for this Company?

KE has a target price of $1.25 or 11.7x FY07 PE based on a blended PE multiple. "ASL's financial and share performances have lagged behind its peers, but we believe that the emerging oil and gas play is due for an upswing. Trading at 7x FY07 PE and 6x FY08 PE, ASL is probably one of the lowest valued marine stocks. It looks even more attractive in view of its recent entry into the offshore oil & gas sector," KE said. |
