They should vote against it at all cost at the coming EGM.  CP Boss should be sent to the firing squad for causing such massive wealth destruction. The general public, especially retail investors, holding 60% of its shares have suffered badly. Mon. closed 4.1c down -2.2c (-34.5% from Fri) Expects more Downside!

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Some very good advice from Freeme (see his recent post below). but i doubt px will fall below 3.6c (as suggested therein). otherwise this rights issue hv to be aborted, something unthinkable!  px did hit a low of 4.1c this morning down 32% from Fri closed. taking it private is likely too, since its business is profitable plus ridiculously high NAV of Rmb 1.62 (S$0.33 per share) but roughly 60% of shares are being held by public, privatisation may take some time. the alternative view is that its strong balance sheet is fake. having zero gearing may be bad news too, IF it is not rated credit-worthy by China Banks and unable to secure loans?

Based on past 2 placement or rights issues the mother share px dropped to near rights px following its announcement. Dec 2009: 85m placement share at 20.5c June 2010: 349m 3-for-5 rights issue at 12c Mar 2012: 908m 1-for-1 rights issue at 3.6c  So if history repeat itself, then mother share will drop to around 3.7c - of course not overnight but it will be a slow death from tomorrow to ex-date. Investors who do not want to come up any more money will throw the rights at $0.001. My game plan is this: buy the rights when traded (if drop to $0.001), then subscribe for the share@ 3.6c (i.e. total cost = 3.7c). Must sell immediately when speculators push it up a few decimal points. Must remember to get out fast as the px cannot hold for long. Fairly recent examples include China Milk and China HongXing. China Gaoxian too, come to think of it.
