They have reasons, maybe trying to avoid the after effect CNY correction and when counter got a sign " CD" later, then it won't fall at that time ! Anyway, this is a very solid company, the price is always stg at S$0.15 and don't move much. Good Luck. |

Sorry its end sept FY end. Result announced in NOV, proposed meeting approval by shareholder on 25 Jan.. They should have chose a date earlier so that the pay out is before the Lunar new year as a small Hung Pow :) The management don't think that way :) In no rush to give out...get more interest from the cash in bank :)

Oh thanks anyway. Just read their annual report. 0.008 plus 0.003 cents , toal 1.1 cents divents, to be approved only on 25 Jan 11. Payput date about 3 to 4 weeks later. Dan bloody slow man this people work. Sept proposed, almost half a year later then get the dividents...hold shjareholders at ranson or what :) Highl;y unproductive process.such small matters also takes nearly 6 months to complete from proposed to approved to payout.... SGX maybe must set for listed companies, a shorter time frame to complete process of dividents declared... whats the justification to take such long time to process ? |

The Board of Directors of BRC Asia Limited (“Company”) wishes to provide the following information in response to the SGX’s queries of 12 January 2010 :- Query 1: Please disclose whether the Company has provided guidance to its officers with regard to no dealing in the Company's securities on short-term considerations, as required under Rule 1207(18)(b) of the Listing Manual. We also note that the Company has made reference to SGX-ST's Best Practices Guide relating to dealings in securities. We wish to highlight that the Best Practices Guide is no longer in existence. The Company should make reference to Rule 1207(18) of the Listing Manual instead. Company’s response : The Company has an internal policy on securities trading which prohibits its directors and key personnel from dealing in the Company’s securities while in possession of unpublished material or price sensitive information and during the “closed period”, which is 2 weeks before the date of announcement of results for each of the first thee quarters of the Group’s financial year and one month before the date of announcement of the full year financial results. The directors and key personnel are also prohibited from dealing in the Company’s securities on short term considerations. Your remark on the abolition of SGX-ST’s Best Practices Guide has been noted. In our subsequent Annual Reports, the Company shall instead make reference to Rule 1207(18) of the Listing Manual. Query 2 : Please disclose the remuneration of employees who are immediate family members of a Director or the CEO, and whose remuneration exceeds S$150,000 during the year, in accordance with Guideline 9.3 of the Code of Corporate Governance. Company’s response : There is no employee in the Group who is immediate family member of any director or the CEO and whose remuneration exceeds S$150,000 during the financial year. From CIMB report : Historical P/E: 3.6x, P/BV: 1.7x • The stock appears to be forming a rounded bottom recently and prices closed above its 200-day SMA yesterday. Trading volume also is picking up, suggesting that interest may be pick up as well. • Supported by a positive MACD and RSI, we think prices are headed higher in the coming days. • The stock is a buy with a stop placed below S$0.135, its 50-day SMA. Prices could soon try to close the S$0.16-0.165 gap first. If this level is breached, then the next resistance is at S$0.185. BRC Asia Limited designs, manufactures, and markets steel mesh under the BRC brand name. The Company's products include non-standard and customized mesh, a wide range of prefabricated products including beam and column cages, complete prefabricated beam and column reinforcement, staggered mesh, twin wire mesh, and pile cap cages.
