Renewable energy is the way to go.,.
CONTINUING ?WAR? Our planet will successfully transition to a low-carbon economy only if Asia stars strongly in the carbon war. Efforts are already being made in countries like South Korea and Singapore to promote clean energy sources and energy-efficiency practices. As Asia?s cities expand rapidly into urban commercial hubs, there should be further vigorous efforts to promote construction in line with principles of energy efficiency. The installation of proven technologies such as solar panels, biomass converters, smart meters and sensors could lower operating costs through smaller energy bills. Retrofitting existing buildings in a similar fashion will create jobs and contribute to economic prosperity. In rural areas, funding for small-scale renewable energy projects will empower lives and drive the improvement of living standards. While Asia?s rising dependence on natural gas has given it some respite from volatile oil prices and concerns over rising emissions, it is not a silver bullet to our energy security and environmental concerns. Gas is still a fossil fuel. Yes, bonus issue but it is also because the stock has become attractive for investors with new substantial shareholders and completion of hydroplant and biomass power plant in 1Q - two flagship projects to mark Asiatic foray into renewable energy sector. One more biomass at Kemanan, Trengganu .
Raising fund through shareholders will improve the financials of the company as it is interest free. Asiatic has entered an exciting phase of its transformation from fire fighting business to IPP. It is a pure home-grown company and I hope Singapore govt and local businessmen will help her become a success story of venturing overseas. EMA is promoting renewable energy with solar and biodiesel in Singapore , and Asiatic should explore biomass power plant project here. Company business is viable and direction is clear. |

just to double confirm.the rights entitlement from holding the mother shares can be sold in the market if i dont want to subscribe and i get to keep the $ from selling he rights right? |

i bought 100lot at 12.5cts three years ago.if i sold mother share yesterday,i would had suffer 50% loss and still got to use the cash to subscribe to the rights. but i sold the rights yesterday and i got back what i had invested and still can keep the mother shares :) |

If u sold yesterday , you should sell mother shares at 6.9 cts and keep the rights shares - because price per share is 6.4 cts through rights issue.
U make additional 0.5 cts per share |

sold my rights yesterday. better to take some $ and put into other counters. me woth this counter for a few yrs but price hardly up till recent rights issue. better to make some $ now rather then wait for it to dun know when then up again:) at least i got back what i had vested in 3 yrs ago. leaving mother share intact incase it ever go up again |
